ZumoCast is pretty awesome!

Can access all my torrents (music and vids). Friggin sweet.

my wife has the Iphone so we have itunes that is good for music IMO.. But i have been using http://music.google.com

and it streams all her music straight to my phone.. I have ZumoCast already loaded up on the home pc just waiting to get my phone tomorrow.. :D

Be careful with the app, since depending on what you are decoding, it can eat up over 90% of the CPU, which means a hot running computer, with no way to police, since you would be away. The CPU load can depend on the codec and/or the bitrate & resolution.

When it is not running heavy, it is nice. I asked the devs if they could add a live remote temp and CPU monitor (assuming possible), so a user can see if their current usage is choking their computer. No response yet and that was just after the D3 was released.

I cant get my phone to connect to my pc at home... what am i doing wrong???

i assume my computer at home would need to always be connected to the internet right?

Well my laptop is on but asleep and I can't connect. I'll look into it later.

So for this to work, you need your computer running, not in sleep mode, on an active internet connection.

You also need the ZumoCast program running.

In a 3G only area (my office), it took a few seconds to find the connection to be established. Runs like a charm after that.

To add in some additional info.

It seems to be mega powerful, able to play any audio/vid files. including those in sub directories of the directories you choose to share.

FYI in case you don't want to share certain things with the world.

The program is not mega powerful, since it uses your computer, so is as powerful as your PC is for decoding.

Nice app that works, but requires your PC to always be on and you do not know how hot your PC may be running.

You have a strange obsession with your PC's temperature. So I'm assuming you either:

1. Overclocked
2. Didn't properly set up cooling for your PC

I could leave my PC Folding@home for 6 weeks straight and not worry about it overheating

Edit: Also, there is a pretty large population of PC users that never turn their PC's off (myself included). It's not really a big deal.

Edit2: I wanna make sure you know I'm not attacking you, just curious :p I've had a few computers with heating issues, but they were always very much overclocked AND My Thermaltake heatsink fan would usually keep the cool. Thing was as loud as a vacuum cleaner though, the problems arose when I would turn it down so it was quiet, then the heat became an issue.

Guys, this app (though could be thought of as bloat) is awesome! I think there's only a couple other devices out there it supports (D3, maybe DX2). Definitely set it up, no other need to load up music from your PC to the phone! Works flawlessly. :D

WOW, this works PERFECTLY!!!

My computer is on all day and most of the night anyways...

I think I am going to like this!

I just restarted mine a few days ago for the first time in over 4 months. It never overheats or has any other problems.

I did find out that a folder with a large amount of sub folders crashed the ZumoCast App. My downloads folder has well over 1K folders in it and there's millions of sub folders in there. It locked up my phoen and I had to do a battery pull to restart.
