I can't read my SD card through Astro or Docs To Go. My photos show up fine in the gallery and my custom ringtones are listed in the Android ringtone folder, so I know the phone is seeing the card, I just cant understand why I can't pull up a doc or photo from these apps. The built in Files app does work fine. Any ideas or setting suggestions for these other apps?

Is your SD listed as /sdcard or /sdcard-ext ?

I don't know if it's related or not, but when I try to move an app to the SD card, the app breaks, and refuses to move back to the phone. So I have to uninstall, then reinstall, leaving it on the phone.

Does this mean that all apps are loaded to the internal SD card? What else loads directly to the internal? And I assume there is no setting or a way to change this default being you tried moving the apps manually?

I have just started on Android and want to store lots of docs, pdfs etc on the SD card and read them. Docs to go will not see them, es file explorer sees them but does not make docs to go see them. Is there an app that will read docs off the SD card without having to b***** about? I can't be the only one who just wants to read docs off the SD card, it should be dead simple
Help desperately needed.

I assume that you are referring to the SD-Ext card and not the SD card. The naming is always confusing and needs to be clarified.

I use Office Suite Pro and it will show you files on both cards. Office Suite will process the office files. The labels it uses for theses areas are Local Files and Sdcard-ext.

I just installed Docs to Go for you and the terms it uses are Internal Card and External Card.

Moving apps to SD card ext isn't needed with dedicated memory for just apps
Its something motorola started on the droidX and it looks like all new phones have dedicated app storage so apps like apps2sd card are no longer needed.
