Secret Ninja Hold???

Hey guys, is there a super secret way to hold the phone?

I am use to my OG Droid, but I have to tilt this thing sometimes to touch the entire screen, or move my entire holding procedure.

Sooo yeah, is there something I am missing? Or are you just stuck always using two hands/juggling it with hoping you won't drop the damn thing...

Yes there is a super secret way to hold the phone but the problem is...

My fellow ninjas and I will have to go after you if we tell you, so it's best for your safety that you find what's best for you. It would give us more time to practice our elemental bending powers. :)

Hahahaha.

Eh, I figure I will get use to it, just pretty awkward this first day haha.

But now you are use to it?

I am just afraid that it will never be easy/smooth to hold...

It's best to give it time since it's only the first day. Sometimes you'll never get used to it, other times you'll be able to deal with it. Make sure you make best use of your time within the return policy (14 days) to decide if you think you can deal with it or else you'll have to return it and get a smaller phone.

Good idea.

Keep in mind that the first day BEGINS on the day of activation. If you bought it today, then today counts as a full day. It's not like Monday -> Tuesday means one full day. I made the mistake in thinking that Monday -> Tuesday meant 1 day (like 8PM Monday -> 8PM Tuesday). If you activate even at 11:59pm Monday, Monday is still Day 1. Make sure you count your days so you know when is the very last day to return.

To be honest I am already starting to feel comfortable with it, and I also noticed how rarely I truly do only use the phone with one hand...

Mostly when texting or reading Reddit...

The majority of the time I am typing a long message or something I am using both hands regardless...

I don't think I will really notice it, but I will keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the info on the activation time ;)

It's def gonna take some getting used to. It can be quite difficult to get the corners. Typing's pretty much ok, but it's almost slipped out of my hand a couple times. Thinking a rubbery case may be in order.

I have already noticed that it's easier for me to use this phone in my left hand than in my right. I'm ambidextrous, so that's ok, but I still thought it was weird.

Yeah, I thought the thing was huge when I first handled it. Funny part was, when I went to put in my Google account, I thought, oh wait I have to use the on screen KB for this (about the only time I used the physical on one my OG Droid)....but the keys were just so much larger, it was great! I do have pretty small hands, but I'm getting used to the size no problem.

The size of the phone was the biggest concern of mine. But I decided that I would buy it and give it a chance, regardless of any first impressions, so I never even held it until after it was activated. So far it doesn't seem to be a problem at all, even with the shell (shell/holster combo) on it.

To anyone thinking it might be too big, I say follow Vihzel's advice and use your 14-day window... and don't jump to conclusions.

Follow this guy's advice.

This is my first full day with my beloved Bionic, I imagine that it won't be a problem at all.
