OK, I like many many people have been patiently waiting for the Droid Bionic. In that time, VZW has got me for the Thunderbolt, and the Droid Charge. Both fairly good phones with some good strong points, as well as some flaws (like anything else). However both are FANTASTIC as phones, with some pretty good call quality. after 2 hours with my Bionic, I'll go on record as saying as a phone...This thing sucks! Volume is extremely low, and a good number of people have said i do not sound that clear at all! SERIOUSLY??? 9 months to bring us a phone that doesnt preform well as a phone! Come on Motorola, you have really got t o be kidding me. I will most likely try one more, and if it's the same, will go back to my Droid Charge and wait for Samsungs next big thing.

How is everyone elses Call Volume...Loud? or Low? Please be honest people

I have used the motorola bluetooth with mine much of the day and I have had to turn the volume on the headset down to below 50% so that it does not hurt my ear. The on phone volume seems to be just fine on mine. I work in some pretty noisy areas and I could hear pretty well on mine today.

I think that I would have to try another Bionic.

I have to agree with the OP.

My earpiece volume is low even at the highest volume setting.

That was one of my main concerns, especially after using the Motorola Photon which had the best loud and clearest volume - IMO

I was hoping there was and update available but there was none.

my call volume isn't that great either. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 4.

I was walking down a hall at school (it was the end of the day so not many people around), but I still had trouble hearing through the earpiece on the phone. I kept pressing the volume-up button, but then I realized it was at max-setting.

I found when I am at my house I can hear fine, its just bad when out in a loud public place.

As far as how I sound on the other end of the line, I have not had any complaints yet.

you'd think this would be one feature that would just be a given to work on a PHONE.

Hope there is a ota or somethin....

I agree with the people that say...its ehhh, but it gets the job done...however really depending where you are. Speaking on the phone while at home is fine. But talking outside in a semi busy environment is just not realistic with this phone.

Im pretty much ruling out a lemon because im hearing some people are seeing pretty much the same with they're units well. Damm moto, this is one thing u should have nailed.

Dude, you need to stop your phone whoring and wait for the Prime. :p

Seriously though, root your Charge (if you haven't already) and see what the Prime brings to the table. If nothing else, you know the screen will blow this one away!

So you're going to compare a phone that you DON'T have to one that isn't even in existence yet??? BRILLIANT! :D

Haha. I've messed with the Bionic in the store and my Charge is right on par with it. How much worse could the Prime possibly be? Odds are it will be better. And the screen it will have will kill the Bionic. I will take my chances. :D
