Hello Forum guys!

My name is Robert and I'm used to be a happy owner of an Xperia X10...until I update to Android 2.3 :(

A couple of days ago I used PC Companion to get the latest of update of SO to get the update to Android 2.3. Everything worked fine until I tried to add my Google account. I couldn't so I googled looking for solution and I found that this is happening to many people.

I factory rested the device twice, removed the SD, removed the SIM card, and tried everything but nothing worked. I even tried the YouTube account method. The only way it worked was using the WiFi network at home adding the account through YouTube and from that moment everything worked fine, could download applications from Market, get my Gmail, Talk, Facebook, everybody happy!

Now...the problems is that this is working only with my WiFi account; as soon as I try to connect with my 3G I get the "No connection" error, evern when I'm able to use the browser.

Has anybody found a solution to this problem? It's driving me crazy, half of the phone functionality is lost with this. I'm even thinking about getting and old version (Android 2.1) and flash it.

What do you think? Any other suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help and excuse my bad english.

Regards.

If you can get on via WiFi only this would generally mean that you have WAP settings on your handset and not Internet settings. With this being the case I would advise that you contact your current network provider directly and request that they send you Internet and not WAP settings.

Hi Sam-SEanswers, thanks for answering. Maybe you're right. If this is the case, will I see the "H/3G" icon on the top when I got connection? Even if it has wap settings?

It will connect, but some things won't work.

Xperia? X10 - Get MMS settings - Learn more - Mobile phones - Support - Sony Ericsson

Something like this - MMS settings problem on X10 - boards.ie

Google x10 mms settings or mms settings and your cell phone company name.

I think you're right, since when I browse some pages I get the wap version and not the normal internet version I used to navigate before the system upgrade.

Thanks for your help. I will contact my company support and explain them that I'm only having WAP connection.

Thanks all, I will let you know the outcome.
