For me, 80% of it is in the default browser. It just works.

I also use FireFox, and love how it sync's to my desktop. So, I have all of my favorites, and recent tabs I can open. So, if I was reading an article on my Laptop and I want to finish it while on the treadmill at the Gym, I can. - For me, there is NOTHING Crap about FireFox mobile.

I used to use Dolphin as my main browser on my old Archos Tablet (Running 1.6). And, so, I put it on my phone. But, honestly, I've launched it less than a dozen times since I got my Atrix in March.

I use the default, 90% it does what I need it to do, except when I need to download something and get the "not supported on your device" error

This is the ONLY reason why I'm not using the default browser. I don't know WHY .apks can't be downloaded on the Default browser -_-;;;

I'm trying out Dolphin but I've notice that it's a BIG memory hog and after using it for a few consecutive hours, it gets really slow! I like the tab feature though, lol.

I've used Skyfire when I was on Froyo but I felt that it was slower than the default browser.

I was wondering if Opera Mini has the tab feature?

Is there any browser that doesn't reload a page if you go back to it. I find that really annoying. Both Dolphin and Default do this.

But wonder why Chrome is not on the list, I think it's also a wonderful browser.

Because CHROME is not available for the ATRIX... Or for any phone, as far as I know. They may have released it for HoneyComb tablets, but, since I don't have a HC based tablet, I've not kept up with it.

Why Isn't Google Chrome A Part Of Android? | TechCrunch

Besides, on the PC side, Chrome is the second crappiest browser I've ever used (Opera is the worst!). It locks up much more often than even IE.. Uses more memory with half the tabs open as FireFox. And, the scripting on only 20% of the web sites I need to use work with it.

I use opera 99% of the time, it seems very fast for me, and the pages load instant(it compresses the pages before they get sent) it does have tabs but they arent on the top, there in like a little droor at the bottom, you should go try it, and opera doesnt reload pages, it as made to save data for you so even when you go back it doesnt reload the page, i love it :)

I might try that next. I am currently using Boat browser and I have notice a slight keyboard lag from SwiftKey with couple of hours of usage. Though I might attribute the lag to my ROM :( Overall Boat is a good browser. I really like that I can use the volume keys to go from one tab to another. Does OM does this too? :)

I always find myself going back to Default because most forums that don't have Tapatalk you can't use the quick reply on any other browser. Same goes for when I have to pay bills online via phone browsers like Opera always bug out when I'm selecting which bank account to transfer funds through.

Fastest browser ever is Opera hands down though.

Dolphin just has too much junk that I don't need when using a browser... No offense it's great if you want all that stuff like gesture shortcuts, but when I surf the web on my phone I want to keep it simple and want as much screen real estate possible and that gesture button at the bottom left drove me crazy. Also when I'd swipe to the left or right when browsing it brought up more icons/bookmark options or something wtf lol.

KEEP IT SIMPLE, GO DEFAULT!

I download APKS with the default browser all the time. It's very simple.

Just download and install the free app "Download all files" - once installed, when you click the link to an APK, you'll be asked of you want to download it or install it.

Here's the link - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.hwkrbbt.downloadall&feature=search_result

I first learned of this app to help download ANY attachment from GMail.

First reason I don't like Opera mobile. This is a problem I had on BlackBerry. I don't like my web browsing going through another server. I'm a big privacy advocate and Opera's system has been cracked SEVERAL times. They've had desktop users banking info, passwords, personal pictures... all stolen over the last few years.

Another reason I won't use opera. Most of the sites I visit has dynamic content. By using a cached copy of the page, I get OLD content, not the new content that I need. It wastes my time.

you see it doesnt use catched pages, it Compresses the page then sends it to you, some sites are a pain and i go back to default but opera mini i think is the best.

YES, it does use cached pages. And, one of their security fixes in the new release is to address the security on the cached files on the phone.

Opera Mobile 11.1 Update 2 Brings Security, Bug Fixes

Stephen Schenck said:
Opera Mobile 11.1 update 2 tightens-ups the security of the browser's cache files. Apparently, it had previously been setting reduced permissions that would have let other apps read and modify the cache, creating an avenue for a potential exploit.

It's how it's always worked. I remember testing Opera on my onld BB 8300 back in 2008/2009 with the same "Cached Copy" of the pages issue.

I use boat. As for bookmarks, if you use chrome on the DESKTOP then you can sync those bookmarks to your phone using chromemarks. You use that program to look at your bookmarks and when you select one it launches it in your default browser of choice. No more worrying about bookmarks in one browser or another.

It is not in the least bit inconvenient either. I like to try different browsers and this is the ideal thing for me.

Firefox not only sync's your bookmarks, but your browser session so you can open the same tabs you had open on your desktop on your phone.
And, it does it without needing a 3rd party add-on.
