Hi Everyone,

I just bought an Infuse coming from an old iPhone and I'm excited to escape from Apple. However, I've got a phone full of contacts on my SIM card, and I synced with my Facebook account. Many of the facebook contacts I have overlap with contacts I have on my SIM card. What I'd like to do is to combine the contacts that overlap with Facebook friends, and then sync the whole list with my Google account.

However, my contacts are not syncing to my Google account. I've tried to export them to a csv using UiA backup and the file is empty every time...

Can anybody help me get my contacts in proper order here?

Thanks.

You have to export them from facebook (on a pc) then import them into google (on a pc)

for some reason google does not let you do it ...

there may be an app for it..I never checked.

You're not alone on this, Ed. I have the same Samsung Infuse phone, which I purchased in September (two months ago). It's my third smart phone ever since I upgraded from basic phones to smart. I'm in love with Android phones, which is the reason I stick to Android-based phone. My first was T-Mobile G1, which worked very perfectly. The only downside to it was the poor graphic operating system (I think it was Android 1.2). The second was hTc MyTouch 3G, which was also equally good. It had issues with retrieving and sending MMS, just like this Samsung Infuse; however, I had no issues with synching my contacts to my Gmail account. For some reason, this current Samsung Infuse phone CANNOT synch my contacts to my Gmail account despite the fact that all my synched accounts are enabled. Only Facebook synching works, but I really don't like the Facebook synching, because it messes up the synching format, plus it's not that editable.&lt;br /&gt;<br />
The Samsung Infuse is an AT&amp;amp;T phone, but I use it on Simple Mobile. Therefore, I don't know if the issue has anything to do with the fact that I'm on Simple Mobile network. It's disappointing that the supposedly lower class phones (G1 and MyTouch 3G) work better than this supposedly &amp;quot;High Tech&amp;quot; Samsung Infuse 4G!

If you go to an att store, they can just port them over for you lol. Thats what happened with me upgrading from my matrix (sucky, sucky phone).
