I have'nt seen anything posted about this yet so sorry if already posted. I got the message to download the Evo upgrade 4.53.651.1 today. It powers down , comes back on to the htc screen , the blue download bar starts at the bottom then the triangle with the ! appears with the blue droid guy underneath it. I was talking to a buddy and happen to look down at his phone and it showed the same emblem. He told me his phone was rooted too . Do you know of any work arounds ?

if your rooted you DO NOT ACCEPT any OTA's....you could possibly loose having your phone being rooted or even worse brick the phone..

Do not accept the OTA. It can do a number of things to your phone when rooted and most are alot of work to get fixed if they can be. Go Settings>System Updates>HTC Software Update and uncheck scheduled updates. Once that is done, you can download the patch for 4.53 and flash that to get what needs fixed fixed.

thanks for this answer!! knew the OTA would screw everything up but wasn't sure how to update the software...thanks.

PS-is the 4.53 patch posted yet? whenever I use the search function the page just keeps refreshing & timing out.

that is only if the op is on mikg. if you want the actually rooted rom for 4.53 then flash this:[ROM][STOCK][Rooted] 4.53.651.1 - Odexed
I appreciate the help guys, thanks!!
quick question though...
I am running MikG 2.1-3.0 v2.5 and I see there is 2 patches-1 for v2.51 & one for v2.52...
these are the 4.53 (software 4.53) update patches?
or is the v2.51 the update patch and the v2.52 an update for something else once v2.51 is already running?
Also, they both are available with/without the kernel....if I flash the one(s) without the kernel will Aggressive Freedom I'm running now still be on the phone after the update(s)?
or would I need to flash [Agg. Frdm] again?
I'm only a few weeks into the ROMs & kernels because I had to wait to rEVOlution to root my phone but I'm learning...sorry if the questions are too noobish!:D
Thanks again!!
