Help Please help---running out of sedatives

Hello there...

I'll get right to the point... I'm running i9000 on t-mobile (Croatia)

I got my ginger upgrade a week ago. After that.. problems... my phone randomly freezes up when on standby. After that.. I take out the battery.. and it works.. screen locks...poof.. frozen.. battery out... works..lock.. frozen.. and on and on... Then I have to put the screen timeout on max to hard reset it.. and it works great... If I don't add any apps.

I had copilot, k9 and super compass, and office pro. Worked for 3 days. Yesterday I added multilinga (or somesuch) keyboard and plugins, and facebook messenger. I woke up this morning.. and frozen again.....

I hard reseted it again... and now it works.. how long? dunno.. But screw a smartphone without apps.

Is there a common solution to this problem or what? Will I have to take it under warranty to get a downgrade to froyo?

I upgraded to ginger via samsung kies...

thnx alot....

wtf... thnx for the help...:eek::(

Give it time. Sometimes people are doing research on their end and sometimes we are busy with our wife/kids or dealing with family emergencies. We're all here to help but be patient. :)

Or maybe nobody who has read it knows the answer.

This is a possibility too.

I would recommend a factory reset. Sometimes upgrades don't like phones until you wipe everything and start from scratch.

I'd first remove the sd card and use an adaptor to view and check it on the computer for errors or corrupted files. I might even go ahead and format it right off.

Then I'd go into all the apps that remain in application manager and clear cache and data, then shut down the device, power back up and re-insert the sd card.

Yes I did.... and it helps... for a few days... and then it randomly freezes up... yesterday it worked great for the fourth day... with no apps. Then I noticed that the ringer doesn't work. Sure as hell... none of the sounds didn't work... no mp3... nothing. I restarted it... and it went ok. until the screen locked... after that.. I couldn't get it to light back up... battery out... hard reset. and the history repeats itself...

well.. I got it back from the repairs. AS EXPECTED, they downgraded it to the latest official froyo samsung provided them (or so they claim). But kies says otherwise:

scaled.php

wtf does this mean? they put in some custom rom or what??

they are an official samsung repair service
