Hello all I am looking to buy a FT3, I saw on on Ebay (sorry, can't post links yet), paste this into Ebay search box, " flytouch 3 superpad2 9hr battery" and it comes up. seller claims to include a 9000ma battery, a "firmware backup system",ect. I asked him if he was using Timm's ROM the reply was "
We do not offer the ROM information to the public for proprietary reasons." and this, "

If you are considering information from the androidforums.com website regarding timms rom, you may be misinformed about a number of claims those posting on the site are stating, we suggest you view there information with a certain amount of skepticism." any opinions about this deal? Thanks in advance, Butch..

Didn't show up for me, post an item number please, or a sellers name.

And so we post the truth as we know it, and I guess some don't like it, and personally I wouldn't trust this seller from the information you have supplied. That is not to say it isn't genuine, just that it already sounds suspicious from what you have said, the seller is effectively saying "don't believe an independent website, but believe us as we are an honest seller of flytouch 3", I know where I would place my money on being a more truthful & trustful place to base my opinion on.

Item # 140601407420, item has ended although he is now selling a lot of 10 for $1,500 but these has a battery spec at 6000ma. Thought it would be unusual for a re-seller to open case and install 9000ma batt's in there as clearly no FP spce'd with a battery that large..

I would wait for feedback on that item, and plenty of feedback.

Also seems strange that although there are more than 10 available, the item is no longer available.

And again, imo, if it does NOT support install of custom roms, I wouldn't touch it.

Good idea, also seemed odd he claimed "3 watt" speakers vs others @.5 watt. How would one even fit larger speakers in a slim tablet is beyond me. Now I'm watching one with 2.3 installed for $169 shipped..

Regarding the battery, this is NO 9000mah Flytouch3 battery - this is simply false advertising. The iBex has the largest (8000mah), whereas generics / clones have only 6400mah batteries.

Here is an informational blog article by apadtvadmin:

Important Flytouch 3 Buying Information - Blogs - aPad.TV The home of the aPad. Forums

There is an old saying that goes something like "you can't fit a quart in a pint pot"....work it out!

However....any thing written by the admin of that forum is highly biased towards ChinaGrabber and iBex and really should be read (if you think it is actually worth reading) with that firmly in mind.

Hi I have just bought a Flytouch 3 on ebay here in australia with a 3800 mah battery. Can you buy a battery pack external charger to recharge the battery through USB or some other method as we are going on a longish flight and it states it only has approx a 3 hour battery life.

The last plane i went on had 240 volts sockets at each seat to allow you to plug mains laptop chargers in.

Other than that you might want to look at the emergency phone chargers that are basically a box with a li-po battery inside that output 5 Volt. You will need to make up a lead from USB (usually) to the FT3 power connector (0.8/2.4mm)

hi!
i opened my Flytouch 3 and on the battery is nothing marked, so i don't know the capacity of it :(
the time estimated of working time is aprox 4 hours....
what to do?

about what?

The cells will be either 3000,3200 or possibly 4000mAh (although there may be little difference between them in practical terms)

so if your charger is 5 volts the battery will be 6Ah,6.4Ah or 8Ah (cells in parallel)
if your charger is 9 volts the battery will be 3Ah,3.2Ah or 4Ah (cells in series)

It makes little difference in the battery duration.
Keep wifi & GPS off to prolong the duration, and take what the battery meter is telling you with a pinch of salt!

my charger is 5V.
so you said the is 5V the battery should be 6000, 6400 or 8000 mah?
and why the battery is not marked?

Yes... it's probably one of those capacities.
There may be markings on the other side of the cells - the side stuck to the casing!. There may be no markings at all... perhaps they are from a production run that failed batch testing and never made it to the printing section!! There could be many reasons why there are no markings. Don't worry about it.. they are what they are.....
