Help usb port pushed in =(

be careful with vzw. I talked to my buddy at the store there and he said they can choose if they want to say that is not their or the manufacturing fault and that your at fault at this and have to do a warrenty on the device hope you the best of luck

I haven't gone to vzw yet but so what you are saying is that they will blame it on me or say if it is a manufacturers defect? I dont feel like i am at fault at all..but who knows what verizon will say. All i can really say is that i was plugging my phone in to charge and it went in...there is no other explanation..but i dont understand how that would be my fault..i have been plugging phones into chargers since i was 13 and i think i know how they work by now =p

They'll try to claim that it was user inflicted damage.

What do you mean by "went in"? This is on the phone and not the charger right? I'm trying to wrap my head around this, but I'm totally confused.

Well it looks like the actual port was pushed deeper inside as I plugged my charger in..it still plugs in enough to charge but I don't want it to happen again since there is now wiggle room for the port to be pushed in further

Wait, the port on your phone or the usb connection on the charger? If its the port on your phone and you take it to Verizon don't tell them you pushed it in to hard or they'll claim you damaged your phone yourself and they won't replace it.

unless you have full equipment coverage. then they'll cover it even if you flush it down the toilet

So basically it'll take a miracle to get it replaced under factory warranty...I believe what might have happened was that the charger could have gotten caught in a small gap between the body and the usb port and it was pushed in...but I would have never imagined it would take some force to push in

I know with VZW when I broke my phone, I simply told them it was broken (the charge port was messed up) I told them it had done it from occasion to occassion siince i got it (but it hadn't) and they sent me a replacment no questions asked. Just make sure your in good standing and ussualy there pretty nice

(Sorry I didn't see that you got it replaced, anyways, like I said there pretty good with it)
