On September 11, 2001 nearly 3000 lives were lost on a brutal attack, and today marks the 10 year anniversary. In those lives were mothers, fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, brothers, sisters, wives, and husbands, ranging from firefighters who ran into burning buildings to give their lives for others in need, to samaritans who helped carry people on their backs to safety, to even the heroic people on the planes who fought their enemy on the plane to make sure that the attacks didn't take more lives. The strength that this country showed to keep marching forward was tremendous, and people became closer and more carrying of one another. We have to remember to always be carrying and helpful to others, and not just in tragedy situations. I'm sure we all remember what we were doing at the time when this horrific event took place, and we were all witnesses to the many lives lost. This day may be a terrible memory of what happened and the lives lost, but instead of making it a sad memorial, and if we knew any of them, lets remember the memories in which we had with those people, and let them know that we will never forget, and that we are grateful for the sacrifices in which people made, and the sacrifices that our soldiers continue to make for our safety.
