News and Weather Widget options?

I've been using the News and Weather Widget on my OG for quite some time now. I absolutely love that thing, but it doesn't appear to work on the Bionic when I tried Bumping it over. I haven't come across anything in the Market that's similar to it, and I'm still not quite sure how to use the native News widget or that it could be as great as it.

Anyone have an alternative that they like or perhaps found a way to get the News and Weather widget ported over?

You are talking about GenieWidget.apk right. Cause I ported it to my ASUS Transformer with no problem. What version was on the OG? My Droid X has v 1.3.04

Yup, that's the one. My OG is running the same version. It has been built into each ROM I've used, so I wasn't sure if it had to be coded to work on other devices. I hadn't added it separately since it first came out of the Nexus One.

I logged in and there is nothing there...says in the middle "No items mateched your selections. Clear All". At the top, it has icons for GMAIL, BUZZ, DOCS & CALENDAR.

How do I get to the News/Weather Widget?

Thanks

Thanks Jestexman, for some reason when I tried the link in my phone it insisted on logging into my personal google docs!? Anyway, just went in on the pc and then mailed it to myself.

I too loved that widget and am glad to have it back!

I think the simplest way to install this is to first make sure you go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Unknown Sources (check the box). Then DL the .apk and email it to your gmail account. Open your mail from your phone and and DL. It'll instantly pop up with the permissions. You're golden from there.
