What's the deal with music and ringtone apps?

What happened to all the music and ringtone apps? I was trying to install a few apps that I have on my OG, but I can't get them through the Market on my Bionic. Apps like Ringlert and Mabilo don't show up, and there doesn't seem to be many ringtone app options left. Music apps like iMeem and i Music also don't show up. And G-Tunes Music Lite has been retooled and renamed to Advanced Ringtone Editor. Even Zedge seems to have less files available.

Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, what gives? I'm sure we have the RIAA to thank for this.

I have, but I thought that was only for creating your own ringtones. I was kinda hoping to find them ready made. lol

Ah. Gotcha. Yes, Ringdroid is for making them yourself, but it's pretty darn easy. You can use anything in your music library... cut a snippet out, and voila! Ringtone.

But yeah, it's fun to find good, premade ones. It just takes a long time (for me) to weed out the crappy ones and find ones I like. And there are lots of dupes...

You can try backing up the .apks on your OG with astro and then side loading them on your Bionic.
