I think battery fires are a thing of the past in phones and I don't know that one could be triggered by some alien intelligence via software and probably couldn't kill you anyway. The deadliest things about an android phone I could think of are the speaker+screen that could be used for hypnotic suggestion to get you to kill yourself, or the connectivity, sending messages to those in your contact list that could get you killed by them.
