OK
I just flashed the latest radio update for my EVO 4G. Looks like bars and reception is better already. However, today was my first day using it and my battery was all but dead by noon and I usually get life until at least 3 or 4pm. I recharged and was at 100% at 5:30 pm and now it's 8:30 and I'm already down to 57%, so that means I basically only getting 6 hours of battery life now.

Anyone else experience this? I'm running MikG2.5 and more Freedom 8.5 universal and setCPU with 1113 max and 128 min on smartass scaling, no profiles... My battery life was much better than this yesterday, the only thing new is the new radio....

I'd say it sounds like the radio, especially if that is the only thing that has changed.

A) Downgrade radio.
B) Toggle radios off when not using them.
C) Try different SetCPU settings..
D) Different Rom/Kernel
E) It could always be your area, I know when I have weak signal (Signal and no signal all day) my batter sucks. Though, it sounds like the radio update made your worse.

Note, E) isn't really a part of that list, more of an observation. Eh...

What is your pri now?
Your new pri may not be playing nice with your kernel / Rom combo.
Go under settings / system info / software and it should have your pri there.
You may need to downgrade your pri and nv. I'm still running the 1.77 pri because I had major battery drain with the 1.90 pri. The downgrade fixed my problem. Research downgrade pri a little.bit, and if you are uncertain how to do it, post up, we'll walk you through it. :)

My PRI is even higher than what you've mentioned, it's 2.15_003. Don't even know what it was before because I updated it after I installed the radio. Should I downgrade to 1.90? And what is NV? does that need to be downgraded? What is PRI anyway?

Well that't not true now is it? ;)

"The PRI stands for Primary Rate Interface, which is used for carrying multiple digital frequencies for voice and data transmissions between a wireless network and the end user" -xda

That should at least give you enough information to find further information about it if needed.
