Help Can't use voice input while typing

Hi

Whenever in touch the mike button, to use it for typing a message, it says "Connection error: Speak again/ Cancel". Same happens if i try to use voice search in google? Can anyone help me with any settings that i could have disbled etc?

This haoens because you DONOT have a working INTERNET connection.Make sure you have INTERNET CONNECTIVITY and Your GOOGLE ACOUNT is set up On your phone

it means i can't use it in smsing & typing memo etc. , if i am not connected to internet?

I don't know why this is so. I too get the error while trying voice typing on my Galaxy S3. And even when connected, it takes ages to react. Clumsy typing quicker.

But on my old Galaxy Mini which had a microphone on the keyboard, you could instantly start talking and get written text and WHEN NOT ON LINE.
