Question regarding carrier lock.

After reading about the new update, I was led to believe that there is no carrier lock on my Nexus One. I bought the phone subsidized through T-Mobile on the 5th. I'm perfectly OK with the 80$/month plan, but I frequently travel overseas and refuse to roam through T-Mobile. Is it possible for me to swap SIM cards while overseas, without facing a lock screen?

O2 Wireless - Universal SIM Card - O2 WIRELESS

you mean something like this? It's not that you're limited with your Nexus One, it's that you're limited with your sim card. Well the TMobile Nexus limits what bands you can use overseas for their 3G access......

The N1 is an "unlocked" device regardless of whether you buy it with the T-Mobile subsidy or not. It supports the bands listed below. If the carrier whose sim you insert supports them, it will work with the N1 as there are no hardware limitations other than compatibility with these specific network frequencies....

UMTS Band 1/4/8 (2100/AWS/900)
HSDPA 7.2Mbps
HSUPA 2Mbps
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
