So I made the switch. Got myself an HTC Inspire 4g. I just wanted to thank everyone for their initial feedback and help in my decision to move to android. I will never go back. I can't believe what I've been missing. It's nice to have control back over my device. The usability is amazing, and the awesome android community keeps us on the bleeding edge. It really makes my iPhone seem like a joke.

Typical reaction I see every single time someone comes from an iPhone to Android.

"No, I don't want to switch, my iPhone is just soooo easy!"
"It's so smooth and Android is weird and strange."
"I just don't want to switch!"

after...

"I can't believe what I've been missing. Biggestmanever, you are a genius."

I have to use the iphone and ios at work every day. I can not tell you how frustrating it is to use that os.
