From reading the many threads posted about individual retailers, it appears that there are significant supply issues for the Epic 4G Touch.

I'm starting this thread to aggregate supply problems in order to provide information to buyers that may help in finding stores with Epic 4G Touch's available.

My understanding from the different posts is that Walmart has supply issues. LetsTalk is back-ordered. Sprint online is slow with delivery and Sprint stores have significant supply issues. Amazon Wireless is back-ordered and ships in "8-9 days." Wirefly ships on 9/20.

Please post availability here.

It was hit or miss around Austin,TX. I tried calling stores as I usually do, but it seems like most weren't answering. I just had a BB rep locate a store that had 6. I got there 10 minutes later, and they only had 3 left. And this was about 30 min after opening. Some BB stores had them, other's didn't get the shipment. Same with Sprint stores.

If it's not too late, best bet is to just call around or burn some gas. Good luck!

My local Sprint store here in Tallahassee, FL had a bunch and I'm pretty sure I was the first to buy one. No line or gaggle of crazed fanboys.

Same here, picked one up in the Los Angeles area, there was one other guy who was there like me for the gs2, no crowds though, which is a shame, this is the best phone in the entire world right now, and will stay that way... for maybe a month or so.

Almost no one in my midsized NC city seemed to know about the phone. The Radio Shack employees didn't know about it, and even tried to argue that I was incorrect. They did call another store where the employee knew about the phone but they didn't know when they would get it.

The BB employees didn't know about it either and seemed to think I was confused. They did check around and it turns out there were 2 in their warehouse. I got to see it and hold it, but they wouldn't let me take the plastic off.

I didn't buy it yet because I am not eligible for upgrade until Oct. 1st. I talked to Sprint and they said they can advance my date to tomorrow...if I call them again tomorrow.

I still haven't decided where to buy from yet. I am leaning toward buying online since I can save significant money, but I am a little nervous after reading everyone's customer service and delay issues. I don't mind waiting a few extra days if it will save me a lot of money, but I can't wait indefinitely while dealing with crappy customer service.

Are both Wirefly and Letstalk scheduled to ship on the 20th right now?

unplugged, if I recall you ordered yours from wirefly. Did you get yours shipped today or will yours ship on 9/20?

I have it as we speak. I have been setting it up and learning, so I haven't been on the forum as much.

I just posted info on PC and Mac software from Samsung and Kies that provides for auto syncing Outlook, photos music, and more! It works great with our Epic 4G Touch's already.

In jacksonville, fl, the corporate stores had them. The reseller stores (at least the one I went to) did not. I overheard the reseller rep on the phone saying that they got an email saying that they were not going to receive the phones today. I'm not sure about the BB or Radio Shack stores.
