Just ordered through letstalk.com

Sprint usually is a next day shipping in my experience. They always mention the 2-5 day thing but at the most I think I waited 2 days. Even that was rare. I usually get it the next day. I hope it comes tomorrow. They do weekends to. I got my NS4G on a weekend when I ordered it on a Friday or Saturday. I can't remember.

I wish I had kept my chat conversation with them. I pre-ordered on the 12th, and I chatted with them on the 15th to see if my phone was going to be shipping on the 16th, and they said there was no way to tell, and refused to give me any kind of approximate date. Even when I asked if it was going to be shipping some time next week, or should I expect a month. They just responded that they did not know. On top of that they have already charged me even though there policies say they will not charge you until your product is in stock and ready to be shipped....
I am not going to do business with this company again.

Yep, they charged me, too. I received an email that said it could take up to 7 days for my credit card to post funds to my account. They always post funds same day when I return something to a brick and mortar so if it take 7 days I will rest assured that letstalk was holding my funds.

Ok, so I got on there ridiculously slow chat system, I am guessing that each person has 5+ chat windows open at the same time, or they hire very very slow people.... This chat took 15min...

Me: Why was I not informed until the release date that you were back-ordered?

Tiffany H: I do apologize but we were just notified by the carrier that we are not going to be receiving the phones until 09/19 because the phone is so high in demand.

Me: Are you going to be getting enough phones to cover your pre-orders on the 19th
Me: How long am I going to have to wait to get my phone?

Tiffany H: I do apologize but we should be receiving enough to cover all of the pre orders.

So, I am hoping that they will ship it Monday, and will stay with them. The soonest that wirefly would ship is Tuesday at this point. Oh, and they just "Reserved the funds in the account". So technically they are not charging you, but you do not have access to those funds so...

I just would not feel comfortable dealing with a company that can't deliver, imagine if I got the same run around if something went bonkers on the phone, returning/exchanging the phone and dealing with them again would make me feel un easy.

At least with Sprint in store purchases they will honor the manufacture warranty for a year if the phone becomes detective. So in my case I don't mind paying more.

Mine says the same thing. They clearly don't know to take care of business. You don't hear wirefly being backordered. How the hell are you backoedered & the phone wasn't technically out yet. You take orders that match your for sure expected qty of stock & cut it off when your limit is reached, then replenish. I knew we weren't going to hear nothing from them until launch day. I'm either going through Sprint or wirefly next time. Letstalk is horrible with customer service & business.

yea they screwed the pooch, will forever cost them business...I'm sure at every phone launch, people will know about this day

thank god i went with wirefly and cancelled my letstalk

I know.... Delays in shipment but for once I think I'll save the money. $199+tax+$36 upgrade fee vs $154 - 5%(for coupon code: ltcart5) - upgrade fee waived = over a$100 in savings...
Ordered, now awaiting shipment...
Dammit why did the savings have to be so much, I stopped at my local Sprint store on the way home. They had 30 in stock...

This was my thought. I swung by Best Buy and said to myself, "if they have it, just buy it and cancel the other order." Sure enough they had two (still don't have a display, this is the strangest release I have seen). I asked to see one and held it, confirmed they wanted 199 for it and just couldn't justify paying an extra $100+ for it, even if I have to wait. Hopefully I'll get it soon, but the extra $100 makes it a little more palatable.

Got this a little while ago.

Thank you for pre-ordering the Epic 4G Touch. Due to overwhelming customer response, Sprint was unable to fulfill product orders for authorized dealers in time to meet today.s launch. The good news is that a shipment of this hot new phone will be delivered to our warehouse by early next week (September 20th or 21st) and we will immediately fulfill and ship orders overnight to customers who placed a pre-order*. None of this really surprises me. I went to my sprint store which had "many in stock" the guy said. I played with the demo. I liked the phone and no doubt its probably the best phone in america right now. But, for me and my needs, it didn't WOW me. Holding it next to my evo I could see it had a faster cpu and the colors/screen were/was much better. But 0.22" bigger, same resolution and faster app launching compared to my evo 4g just didn't do much for me. I've decided to skip this phone and hope the nexus prime is in the pipeline. I really expect more resolution from any new phone I buy. 800x480 was kinda just.. a lateral move.

I called today and the phones are in I recieved my u p s tracking number but unfortunately I have a 12 hour day tomorrow and won't be home till 9 or 10 at night .my poor little phone will be all alone on my porch , so sad

You'll probably won't see it because someone has to be home to sign it off. They will not leave it on your front porch...

Got mine on the 22nd as well. The wait was worth it for the price. $134.99, no tax, overnight shipping(from the day the received the lot of phones ;-), and waived activiation fee. That's $101 in savings rather than trying to upgrade at even BB or the Shack and spending $200, plus tax plus activation fee.
I'm not complaining, especially since they managed to deliver it on my birthday.

Well, actually I do have a complaint. I guess once the UPS guy signs off that it's delivered, the somehow it triggers your existing phone to be disabled. I was still at work and could not call or text my fiance, couldn't access any data on the phone whatsoever over 3G or 4G. That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen if you were to experience some kind of emergency before you can get home and activate the new phone. Heck, I could have had a break-down and been stranded by the side of the road.
