How to get music on the SD card

mount the SD card, and put them in the correct folder. Basically, once you mount the SD card by connecting your Hero to your computer and hitting "Mount card", your card is essentially in your computer, the same way a flash drive would be. Not sure how you're dragging and dropping files now, but that's the way to move files back and forth...

Thanks. I do mount my SD card and the songs are in the "music" folder as they should be. However, I notice that when I upload new music or photos, my internal memory drops, not my SD card storage. So how do I get it to go onto the SD card instead of internal memory?

i use media monkey. MM allows you to properly tag your files before you upload them and its super effing easy. basically just connect and choose to mount your phone and then go to MM and by using the left menu you can find your album's folder and choose to tag all the files then right click and select to send to the removable drive. simple. as. hell.

yeah.. it's called windows explorer..mount the card.. copy the files.. no extra programs needed

Once you connect the phone to your computer/PC, the phone should display an option to 'Mount' the (SD) card. If you don't see that option, it should and might be part of your 'Notifications' list (wherever that is on your phone). Go to your notifications list on the phone (like when you get a new email or text or voicemail) and the option to mount should be there or be just a click or two away.

I use Windows Media Player (WMP) which, after I mount the card on my phone, the card shows up on my PC within WMP as a location that I could sych my .mp3 songs to/with.

Hope that helps.
