Help help needed with my flytouch please...

have recently purchased a flytouch from ebay all was working fine until i messed things up trying to upgrade firmware as i had no 3g options. I could not get it to turn on again so after taking it to a mobile shop and paying 50 pounds they managed to get it working on a newer version but i still have no 3g options everything else works fine.
Everytime i try to update it goes wrong and wont turn back on might be because im using wrong firmware or maybe im installing wrong?? Its starts to install then says failed and thats it i cant do anything.. really need someones help i will list the info saying what it is running on in the post.

I downloaded Tims update Placed the 2 files on my formated memory card
turned on started to update then on the screen came up update failed.

After that i could not start the tablet again i'm not the best at all this so am scared in case I ruin it again.

some people have said althought the box says flytouch 3 in the ebay description says supapad 2 very confussing.

So when you go to Setting - Wireless & networks - there is no option for mobile networks?

If this is true you need a different ROM or maybe install one of the 3G manager apps? But I don;t know whether or not the version you are using just has access to the 3G setting disabled or if the 3G support just isn't there. Can you contact the shop and let them know there rom is missing the 3G settings?

ah yes i have the option of mobile networks both data enabling and data roaming are ticked. if i plug in the stick and goto network operators give me the options to choose from all operators eg.o2 - Orange etc.

not sure what access point names is?

but still cant connect?
