Has anyone experienced the default browser crashing randomly once in a while? It just crashes to the home screen without any message and when I re-launch it, its like starting a new instance, all my previous loaded pages are gone. The settings/bookmarks etc are still the same.

Any solutions? Running Lite'ning 6.1 with Speedmod T39

Yeah, I have the same problem, I already posted it here few days ago and didnt receive any answer. SHortly.. it crashesh only when i surfe particular pages, but there are pages which are much more heavy and the browser never closes even when i zoom it to the maximum level and start scrolling on max speed up and down :)

Ok, then try to access TVNET :: Iev?rojamas zi?as , but only through data connection, not through wifi. try to scroll up and down while zoomed and of course try to watch video while scrolling up and down.. my s2 stock browser would close for sure.

Working perfectly here, tried zooming, scrolling and watching video.

I'm using Firmware 2.3.4 (KH3)

Yea,I just tried the same page, also turned on video and at the same time zoomed and scrolled all around the page, I was impressed that everything was perfect and browser didn't crash, but after 1 min of torturing the browser in the same way it froze and closed, strange, sometimes in that page freezing happens immediately. I'm running the stock 2.3.3 version, didn't install anything, the phone is fresh, do you think it could be a hardware issue ? Really don't want to bring the phone back.

It's working here and I couldn't get it to crash, it could be an issue with the firmware your using and the default broswer , have you tried another browser? You could try updating the firmware.

Best not to jump to conclusions, it's much more likely a software bug.

as you mentioned you're using 2.3.4 firmware. Maybe that's the reason. Hmm, you mean update to the newest firmware using odin ? Actually I'm not experienced android user so I wouldn't like to risk , especially when I have strickt rules of warranty. I hope that there will be an official 2.3.4 update soon. I realy can't imagine what can cause those crashes in my stock browser and have no idea how to prevent it, actually, it is a little bit annoying.

you're saying it's software bug but as I mentioned, I did almost nothing to my phone till now, it's brand new, so I doubt software bug :)

Have you tried another browser? Give Dolphin or Opera a try.

At least if one of them work with the webpage you know it's not hardware.

Even official firmwares have bugs, it's a very naive to think the software is perfect and it's make no difference if the phone is old or brand new.

Just installed Dolphin, it didn't crash as I expected. =]]] But the bug of stock browser still keeps me worried, but it should be just because it's a new phone for me, that's why I'm so paranoic :D . Thanks for your help, Shocky !

And the last question - so if you think it's not hardware, how can it be possible, that others don't have this problem and everything works fine on their 2.3.3 versions ? I make these consequences cause this issue is not very popular.

Update: dolphin also crashed, on that webpage as soon as I enabled auto load of Flash. So it still could be hardware, right ?

Btw, seems like on skyfire it didn't crash, i was trying to break it down really excessively , but it worked fine even with ongoing video. Really I can't understand what the problem could be.

Update: Again , decided to test stock browser, shocking, but this time it didn't crash, even when the battery has gone to the power saving mode now.

Do you have any idea why sometimes that page crashes almost right after i load it, but sometimes it survives minutes of excessive testing :D ? I think it's flash related and still hope it has nothing to do with hardware so the phone is not faulty

Looks like theres some flash content on the website that some mobile browsers don't like, it's a software issue, it could also be an error on the webpage causing this, your phone is fine!! :D

Try setting flash content to on-demand and see if it still crashes.

Yeah, seems like it's due to flash. But still strange that sometimes browser is OK loading this page, I can't understand what can cause crashes. But ok, I thing I can get by this :D, thanks !

Just got this S2 at best buy. I had an Attix 4g rooted and Tom's and decided to get the a2 and THEN told myself it wasn't much of an upgrade and got this because its in line for ice earlier but some apps wont work. Antutu benchmark hangs up trying to update system info. You tube hung up but is it normal that when I turn the phone to go into landscape it reloads the whole web site and/or crashes. If this is normal and accepted then I have to change back. I did accept the OTA update to 2.3.6 but that's all I've really done to it....
