So I'm not 100% satisfied with the battery life yet... I have been used to the 2+ days I was getting out of an iPhone.... and I am getting about 12-16 hours out of this phone. I am hoping I will be able to tweak a bit more life out of it and also someone mentioned that the first couple times the battery dies faster, so I'm crossing my fingers on that one.

The problem I'm having though... is:

If the battery is low (not dead) and I power it down, it wont power back up unless I charge it for 30 - 40 minutes.... shouldn't I be able to turn it back on right when I plug it in?

Are all Android phones like this? The battery has to build up a big charge before it can power up?

I have never seen this issue. So I would say its not all Android phones. If you turn it on before you plug it in will it come right on and then just charge it.

I just hope its better battery life then this 3gs....I barely get a day of LIGHT use out of this thing.

The battery had about a 25% charge and I was having an issue where I couldnt access the contacts, so I powered it off to see if a reboot would fix it... and it wouldnt power back up. So I plugged it in and it took about 30 minutes before I could turn it on again.

When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, and I had to have it plugged in for about 30 minutes again before it would turn on.

I thought it should turn on right when you plug it in....

strange, right?

I've noticed this also if the charge is very low. Easy way to avoid it....buy a backup battery and wall charger for it and just swap it out when you get low. Works quite well. ;)

That's one of two features I dislike about this phone. That fact that it has to be charged to a certain percentage before coming on after it dies and not being able to use the camera with a low battery. I thought that was a Samsung thing.

That is true of all of our phones...they all have to be charged for a minute first

samsung htc you name it...even my nook does it
