I've been searching for details on the $5.99 protection plan t-mobile offers. It seems that with the normal warranty, if a phone is defective that once you receive a replacement phone, your defective phone must be shipped back with the included label. Well, if I have the top level $5.99 protection plan and my phone was damaged and no longer functional. If I made a claim and had a replacement phone sent, would they require that I send back my damaged phone? There is a $130 deductible so I would think that would cover any sort of "core" charge, but i cannot find any definite answers.
So does anyone have any experience as to whether the damaged phone must be shipped back when making a claim on the $5.99 protection plan?
