Extended Battery Review

I didn't see a thread about this yet. Who wouldn't want their Optimus to last more than a day?

Once it comes in I'll let everyone know how it works out. On the stock battery I use to be able to go 20 hours with my use. Now I can get about 12 hours. I'm guessing the drop probably relates to the battery's age and cycles.

I look forward to hearing your review. I noticed from the link, that the picture shows the battery label showing 3000mAh, while the description says 2800mAh. Please tell us which it is.

I checked the mail and it arrived 2 days early

Here are some pics to compare. The battery does say 3000 mah on the back.

This is my favorite so far. Look at the time used on the battery:


It is heavier than the original of course but it's not too heavy to keep in my pocket. It may be too heavy for a shirt pocket. It's easier to grip for sure. Actually it reminds me of my first Motorola Teletac if anyone remembers those! The cover fits perfectly with no trimming required. There are some very slight air gaps where the cover mates with the phone but I think it is acceptable being an aftermarket product.

I plan on running the battery until I go to sleep then charging it unless someone has a better idea. Once it's charged I'll clear the battery stats and report back at the end of the day (or 2 if it goes that far).

LOL, When I saw the pic I totally thought teletac, I had the extended batt for mine back in the day, that was a BRICK.

This thing don't look too bad for double the battery, is there a rubberized case that fits it though?

Does the camera see the edges of the cover? looks like it must be close...

I haven't looked for one yet. Guess that's next on the list.

Yeah it looks like they did a good job molding the cover and leaving enough room for the camera lense.

I left brightness on full, wifi on, gps on, bluetooth on. Today I'm going to use it like I normally would and see what happens.

Much better! I had to really work at it to get 20 hours out of the stock battery. 26 with the extended and i'm not running any task killers yet.
