Root OC kernel

i have just flashed my phone back to the stock condition but it still is rooted for somethings i had on my phone, the question is i just downloaded kernel manager to see if i can install the 748 and 672 for the lazy ascend on my ascend and there was no information to help me flash them,so i tryed rom manager and cwm and the 672 kept restarting and 748 froze up on the red android screen? am i doing something wrong? help me out please? thanx....

those kernels were heavily modded by isaac to work with 2.3.x. you are lucky it booted at all on stock
