No previous experience with android until i bought the prevail, yet i figured out how to put both shabbykernal and shabbymod on my phone with the guides/posts on this site.

Havent messed with my phone since before CWM came out.

Im really interested in installing shabby mod onto the sd card in order to make my phone more snappy and to get rid of the lag. But it seems more than slightly above my skill level.

think it's worth trying?

Yeah for sure its worth it. You can use Odin to install Hoarks EE14 ROOTED VERSION WITH CWM AND HROARKERNEL. You can use ext4 partition with that also. Then you can install ShabbyRom on top of that if you wanted. Its in the Odin sticky if you wanted to download it. Both Shabby's kernal and Hoarks are pretty much the same. I just find things easier to install with Odin.

If you tell me what you're unclear with I'll be happy to try and help you through out the process

I got a few questions..

1.I partitioned the SD for the ext4 in CWR, but instead it created as a ext3. I been searching post from post, and thread from thread...Cannot find out what or where this happened. Could you shed some light?

2. Also with this in one post it said to "wipe the factory data" in CWR. (Kept everything on TB) Ext3 I know isn't usable, I put all saved files and folders on another SD.. But the saved data doesn't show up on the TB when I try to restore..I'll probably find a way to fix tomorrow, since its 3 am now lol, It isn't a very big deal I could just redo everything. Any shortcuts though?

edit* #2 situation fixed upon moving data to another SD.

Appreciate any information! I been in the forum awhile, but I'm more of a observer. I understand the need not to clutter the forum with questions that are listed over and over... This is just one of them easy, in front of the eye questions that I must have overlooked.
:p
