Best DUAL SIM android phone?

being a name brand I feel confident that the specs are true, and it has the most powerful specs so far, 1ghz CPU!!!! 512mb ram and 2gb ROM!!

Here: Huawei U8520 Deuce free games, apps software, ringtones, themes download, free videos, wallpapers, ebooks | umnet.com it is saying it's a Qualcomm 7227 and only 256Mb RAM

Here too: Buy HUAWEI Deuce Android Dual-SIM Unlocked Mobile | Read Reviews | Dick Smith Online Shopping. I might have to go in to the shop to have a look. It's supposed to be out this week or the next.

Hello All!

I tried to find out any information about Huawei U8520 on the official Huawei's sites (global and australian) without success. Also I tried to confirm the information about FCC approval this device and also I didn't find official documents. FCC doesn't know about Huawei U8520! I suppose it's a fake gadget. May be I'm wrong?

Its not fake, here is the FCC reports and user manuals: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...=N&application_id=275355&fcc_id='QISU8520-51'

There are a lot of contradicting info, I too wish Huawei would release the product on their official site. So far I have seen different reports about screen size, cpu speed and memory.

According to all the specs I have read it says its 3g 850/1900 however when i contacted a shop in Australia who have it on presale to confirm the screen size he said yes its 3.2inch screen but its 3g 900/1900.. so I am waiting for it to be released first before I believe any reports on it.

also weird it has not appeared on gsmarena or phonearena yet.

Hello there !

I just want to ask for a help with 'flashing' A60 (I've bought it with original ROM so without Android Market, so that's the reason of it :) - when I'm trying to do steps as it's written in tutorial posted here before (flexmanual.doc on megaupload), I have a problem in connecting my phone with PC in 'off-mode' -> PC (Win 7) don't recognize the phone (or it does as "Lenovo Preloader" but dont have drivers for it).

I've tried to search everywhere (also in spanish, chineese, etc forums), tried to install a lot of drivers (from Lenovo site, some development android kits and lot more) but with NO SOLUTION

So after few days of useless trying I'm giving up and asking you for help, if somebody can know how to solve it ? I know, somebody here already wrote about similar issues, so propably it will be helpfull not just for me, because it seems to be regular problem.

Sorry for my English, hope it's understandable :)

I am using the V350 for 3 days now and I mus say for me it is exellent! It even connects with my RNS315 (volkswagen)bluetooth carkit without any problem. Okay the usb cover could be better, the screen is hard to read with sunshine but real no further complains so far. I am using it for social networking, email, browsing, gps & some apps from android market etc. etc., Sim2 is my work-sim.

Hi Jeroen,

I also have this phone and am pretty pleased with it sofar. Only issue is I cannot get the bloody dataconnection to work for Vodafone NL. Did you also have problems with this?

Thanks!

Nope, thats what they said, yet the official page says 850/1900.. they are saying 900/1900.. so who really knows.

also its now on dse.com.au listed as a 600mhz cpu.. so dam annoying!
Yeah, it's not a snapdragon but a 7227 like the V350.

1900 is useless for Australian networks. Mind you, if you asked at dick smiths, they aren't the best technically.

I've just arrived from the shop... :) The Gsmart G1345 is in my hand!! It is on my desk in a fancy black box.
Now I just have to wait until my working day ends and running home to play with it. (I'm afraid I will not wait till 17:00 :) )
I will let you know about my experiences.

As I see it, this Gsmart 1345 looks like the most interesting android dual sim.

Did you buy it from the hungary website? Do they ship abroad?

Gsmart G1345 got dual standby ?

Yes, g1345 is dual sim. and its very good. i have 1315 for a week and from yesterday i use 1345. Web surfing is much much smoother. Everything is much faster.strength of the ring is much stronger. sound in the earpiece I'm not sure, but it seems to me to be a little stronger. I have a little more used to it judged.

g1345 is very similar in appearance to g1315. only a little longer, so now the exterior dimensions are as iphone3

So, anyone who has the GSmart G1345, could you please tell me if the sim cards can be simultaneously active?
Will the phone notify me of an incoming call on the second sim while I'm speaking using the first sim?
Or for instance while I'm browsing the web using the first card, whill the second card still be active and allow me to answer an incomming call?

Would also apreciate some info on the battery life...

Cheers!

Hi! It is dual standby. If you're speaking or browsing with sim1 the sim2 goes to unavailable. The notifications depends on your service provider or you can divert the calls to sim1 but be careful not to answer it bcause it can be charged! But in this case you will see if somebody calls you (normal case you know who knows the other number and you can decide whether it is sim1 call or sim2 diverted)

After 2,5 days usage it seems the batter lasts about 1-1,5day but let's see one or two weeks later

i have T mobile Netherlands.
The data connection works.
Make sure that your datanetwork is sim 1
also set the sim 1 as default datanetwork.

I also find some problems by switching from wifi to mobile internet.
when it switches there is no connection until i disable wifi, than it works fine again... (are there more with this problem ??) is this some setting ??

Jeroen, having to turn off wifi before establishing a data connection is pretty standard procedure, so dont worry.
I suspect you're correct, although I would call this a deficiency -- even if widespread. There are more sensible ways for the device to act.

It could first of all leverage the two uplinks, and load balance between them for increased performance (which would be quite useful if tethering from a pc that has a multi-tabbed browsing session).

Or it could automatically favor one connection over another, when both GSM and wifi are available. When a preferable type of uplink becomes available, there could be a popup asking if you want to switch (to ensure it doesn't interrupt a transaction).

Android certainly needs to evolve more. It seems there is rapid effort going into all the various trivial apps, but not as much focus on the core essentials of the OS.

Someone tried calling me while I was reading the news over wifi. My GSM data connection was disabled, but the call was still diverted to voicemail.

I was quite disappointed with that. But I'm not sure if it's the network that failed, or the v350. Belgian gsm networks are generally unreliable, so it's hard to know where the fault is.
