hey everybody. Sorry if the story is long, but I'm sincerely asking you to read it =)

Seems like I have rear and strange issue with my stock browser. With the phone except web browsing everything is OK, no glitches, no freezing etc. But when it comes to surfing the net, sometimes phone behaves really weird. Ok, here is my story.

All the browsers I tried, had crashed, only Opera Mobile did it only once and with message - unexpected error or something like that, when I was watching an embedded video on facebook's desktop version. But all other browsers, especially my stock browser, which is my favorite though, sometimes crashes on certain pages. As I'm mostly using stock browser, I will tell you all about it.

At the beginning I got crashes on 2 certain pages, everything works fine until i start to zoom and scroll the page and the browser just froze for a couple of seconds and kicked me right to home screen without any messages, when I launched it again, all the tabs and last session had restarted, it happened almost every time I launched those 2 certain pages, with other pages there were no problems !

For not the browser behaves slightly different - it works fine with previous webpages but now getting frozen with youtube desktop version, but previously it hadn't any problem with youtube. Seems like it just changed the certain pages to get frozen.

And what can I do with all the web video players where sound is out of sync - even youtube - but youtube application works good.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated, thanks ! =)

This sounds like problems with the HTML coding. Generally, if problems only appear with certain sites (or pages) then the issue isn't with anything at your end.

thanx ! But if I have problems with youtube desktop version, then it should be something on my end, cause this browser crashing isnt very common problem and if it would, Im sure youtube would fix this immediately , I don't mind problems with my software, I pray this is not hardware issue... what do you think ? Im still running fresh Android 2.3.3 unrooted, I have this phone only for 1 week and didn't install many apps and widgets...

I am running 2.3.3 and everything is fine. You don't need any special apps to go into Settings, Applications, Manage Applications and go into each application that is having problems and clear the cache for each. If that does not work clear the data as well know that you lose some of your settings. Keep doing this until it clears the problem. It sounds as though one of the application or flash has some corrupt data that is being recalled all the time. It will take each app back to factory setting doing the abe process.

which firmware are u on now? I might have this prob too and even created a thread.currently on 2.3.4

2.3.4

Do you have updated your flash player to 10.3. I don't know, after upgrading to 2.3.4 almost all the problems seem to be solved. I think just the performance of home screen scrolling smoothness ir worse than in stock firmware after putting more widgets on it.

Do you experience slowing down on homescreen after putting on widgets like analog clock, classical clock, dual clock on stock launcher ? I can't remember having thins on 2.3.3.

Does your browser still crash on sites other than youtube?

try www.onehd.com.au and www.afl.com.au
These should crash within a minute, as Slug said, it's something to do with the new-ish html coding, they also crash on the desktop version of Safari (4, 5 and even the new 5.1), which our android browser is related to (both are webkit at heart).

from onehd.com.au I was redirected to ONE.com.au | Sport. Adventure. Comedy. Drama. Entertainment. It all lives here. and didn't have any crash after scrolling etc, I'm almost sure I would have gotten it on my old firmware if you say it crashes :)
