Root Backing up my data

I am about to finally make the plunge and root my T-Bolt and was wondering if there is anyway I can back up all my data including texts and things like that so I don't loose them when I flash a new rom. I have been looking around and most of what I found says no, any help is appreciated!

If you root via Revolutionary I don't believe you lose your data

Yea I that was my plan. But I meant after root don't I lose my data when flashing a rom?

Not if you back it up with Titanium Backup or similar. It can restore your app data.

Edit: Let me be a bit more helpful.

Once you root, download Titanium backup or similar. Tibu has the advantage of being widely used so you can get help easily.

Before you flash the new ROM, use Tibu in batch mode (its in the menus) to back up all of your apps and app data. No point in system data if you are changing ROMS since it will not be the right data (actually not sure what this is for in general since you can nandroid).

Once you flash the new ROM, download Tibu from the market, then use the batch restore for your apps. One nice thing is that you can pick and choose which apps to restore.

If the ROM you pick auto-restores via your google account, you can still use Tibu to restore the data--this option is also in the extensive batch menu. Also, if you have amazon apps you will need to restore them separately--the google autorestore will not restore them.

Note: all of this functionality of Tibu is not available in the free version.

I lose my data so much now with flashing so many different roms, it really doesn't make a difference to me (even though this thread has nothing to do with me LOL)

i know its like you lose your data but there are no bugs in this rom. and then your like really? thats it? lol
