Root [Q] MicroSd card Format

hi all, i have a question...
i have 8GB class 10, what ratio of partition i should make?
i want to root my phone with cm7...
i hope all of you can en-light me..
thanks

It depend on how much apps will you install on your device ...

If you are not the one who wants to test every app and don't play large games then about 2 GB of sd-ext partition will be more than enough...

For installing cm7 read this http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...od-7-1-0-samsung-galaxy-pop-mini-gts5570.html . CM7 comes prerooted so no need to root it...

Can you please enlighten me upon types of partitions and their differences? :)

what i understand is, if you have big size memory microsd card, you can have partition to make all internal apps send to specific type of partition, in case ext3/ext4...
what different is you make two partition

1) Fat32 -> for all apps that can be install to sd card, movie file, mp3 and etc...
2) ext3/ext4 -> for all apps cant install to sd card, only internal memory, but got problem, internal memory so small 200 mb, so transfer it and link it use as2d.. in ext3/ext4, we can use what ever size we want to install apps, so unlimited.. example, 1Gb,2Gb...

Yes you can definitly make your own applications and games if you know how to write program in java.. Read this for more info Handy Informations: How to Develop Your Own Applications and Games for Android Devices?

Pre-root means it comes rooted. i.e if you flash cm7 it will come rooted/have superuser.apk so you don't need to root cm7 ....

CM7 and andro-id are both custom rom.. CM7 is more better than andro-id and is based on gb 2.3.5 while andro-id is based on gb 2.3.4.. Also cm7 gives you more options to customize your phone ..:) cm7 is better go for it ...
