G2x vs Sensation

Okay, I don't have any real issue with my g2x barring just battery, if only the batter could have been a little better than what it is rite now. I have this 3 month exchange thing with Costco, and since Sensation is out, would anyone recommend me to exchange this phone to that. I am still in 2 minds if I should do it or not, since I am so used to my G2x now, but if battery life is a tad better, I might go with Sensation.

What you guys suggest.

I've tried out both phones and about to send the Sensation back. I originally bought the G2X and loved it (except the screen and battery life which are disappointing). Calls are crystal clear, the phone is snappy, easily rooted and easy to navigate. Then I was given the opportunity to use the Sensation for a week... the worst week of my life (maybe exaggerating a bit).

The Sensation has the most beautiful screen!!! The rest of the phone is absolute trash. It has so many bugs it's almost unusable. 4G goes up and down, Wifi goes up and down, dropped calls, intermittently fails to send texts... it's not ready to be released. Did I mention the screen is absolutely gorgeous? I really had a hard time sending it back, but the G2X just works. It was my ultimate choice (it would be a perfect phone if it had the Sensations's amazing screen).

With all that said, I still would have kept the Sensation (based purely on the screen) if the phone would have been a bit more stable. I need it for work and thus wasn't able to wait for HTC's update, which by the looks of the HTC forum and all the angry feedback, won't be long.

I would keep the g2x and get a second battery or one of the extended batteries. I have not used the HTC phone but I am very happy with this phone. If you check out some of the posts in thid fourm the can tell you what to do about batteries and links to buy extended ones. Also remember this phone is really a small comouter even my laptop has bugs once in a while and I paid alot of mony for it. I have had to do 3 factory installs on it.

So neo, what do you think of the Sensation's screen? ;)

My wife just got the Sensation, and I'm a little jealous (I have a G2X), but it looks like they're on par with each other - each has its strengths and weaknesses. Once Gingerbread comes out, I bet the G2X will be even better.

So how have they compared since Gingerbread update and now that they both have some use and apps installed? (I think most battery issues come from background apps people have installed, and their settings).

My wife is finally ready to go Android (lost her Iphone 4, hates her old 3G, and has always been a little jealous of my Android features). I have a G2X too. I have to pull my battery almost daily. She wouldn't be as tolerant of it as I have been. (though from reading these forums looks like I may be able to exchange for a newer model that doesn't have the issue).

Frankly, I haven't noticed a huge difference since getting Gingerbread. I can now run Netflix and Hulu (yay), but the camera is 100 times worse now. Battery life may be better, I don't know.

My wife is happy with her phone, I'm happy with mine - though if I was going to get a phone today, I'd want the Samsung Galaxy II.
