I have never had this problem until recently. Once I reboot recovery from Bootstrap and go to install zip from SD card there are no zip files there. I can see all of my sd card folders, but nothing on the root of the card. Once I reboot and go into root explorer there they are! Any ideas? Side note: I went into ROM manager and choose to install zip from SD card and there they are. I also went ahead and installed rubix1.6 from there, but I'd like to know why I can't see my zips from recovery mode. Thanks!!

Noob: Okay so I rooted my Evo 4G 2.3 and I downloaded the Cyanogen Mod 7 ROM with ROM Manager. It immediately was having problems, then all of a sudden ROM Manager started having problems as well. So, I just want to go back to stock and unroot. The whole shibang. I went to bootloader and for some reason when I go to install/flash zip from SD card It doesnt do anything. When I click on the file I want to install/flash the file is empty and there is no way to do anything. Can someone please help. I am so sad cause I just got my phone and I barely got to enjoy it yet:(.

You might want to post your question in the EVO 4G section, this is the Droid X section, I'm sure you'll get a lot more help there ;)

You did press the vol down key until you got all the way to the bottom right? Or press volume up at the top so that it goes to the last entry? Files are located below the folders and if you have more folders than the display length they will be off the screen.

Yeah, for installing zipped files in CWR I always immediately press volume UP, got old constantly pressing down until I found what I was looking for - it apparently displays folders first and I'm pretty confident there isn't a "show hidden folder/file" option, there there, or there not there - double check the destination of your file before looking too, sometimes they will be in "download", "extracted" ect.
