Root TouchWiz 4.5 for the Infuse

Is there anyway to possibly get TouchWiz 4.0 on the infuse?
My understanding of TouchWiz is that it is just a launcher app. But does it have something to do with "touch"? Is it like what tells android that a finger has just touched the screen at (x,y)? Or is it just TwLauncher.apk??

XDA devs should think about porting TouchWiz 4.0 to the Infuse

They have ported it, but it can be unstable. I would like to try it too, but if you wait a while maybe with the 2.3 update for the infuse there might be Touchwiz 4 or even 4.5. Oh and you got it wrong what it means, it just means it's custom android launcher, and some other ideas I do not really get. Like HTC has Sense, Samsung has Touchwiz, Motorola has Motoblur etc.

Ok thanks its a launcher I get that but if it is just an app then why don't we just steal twlauncher off of a galaxy s2 and install it on our infuses?

Oh ok I get you it is just because it has to be compatible with the hardware. Like it uses both cores to run, it needs to know those exact frequencies to run on, etc. If it would even work on an Infuse without a port but changed some stuff to i997, It would run extremely slow because it is operating at the compatible services. I've tried just stealing stuff from even regular Galaxy S phones, and most stuff does not even work with it.

Well here we are. I got the touchwiz 4.5 launcher or something like that but this is legit touchwiz....super!!! It is just like a sgs2 launcher. No difference. TW Launcher 4.5 - xda-developers

LOl give a link. And no just get tw4manager.apk and hit the option on the bottom. i forget exactly which one.

PS what in the world in MIUI i see it everywhere...i heard its some portugese rom...is it better than infused??? infused is beaster than even cm7

OK I do have a warning!!! Do not use a task manager to kill TwLauncher when it is running or you will go into a reboot! The launcher is very stable, and smoother than any other launcher i have ever used in my life, yes even smoother than go launcher or launcher pro. N o lag whatsoever. absolutely butter

Haha guys Ive got a rom that I think it better then Iphone looking MIUI its: [ROM][2.3.4] ~DlevROM v5.0 ~ - xda-developers . I will try 4.5 later, but this rom looks like it already has it installed. By the way does 4.5 have the gyro page thing on it?

Oh wow... I will try that later pretty happy with my rom right now, it just has regular Touchwiz 4.0.
