This seems flaky to me. It works initially and always works for 5 seconds after screen is locked but after that the volume keys no longer work for waking the phone. With the power button where it is this is a must have function for me. Anyone know how to make this 'stick' or is it a problem with Gingerbread and/or Motos?

do you use the stock PIN or pattern lock? if so, do the volume keys work (with Widget Locker) if the stock PIN/pattern lock is disabled?

bummer. i've tried a number of different lock screen replacements that have options for allowing volume buttons to turn on screen, but none appear to work on this phone (i have the PIN lock enabled). i miss being able to hit the home button on my Droid X to wake it up.
What other software (preferably free) offers the volume key to function as a wake up button?

Hi,
Today I installed the full version of WidgetLocker app,It works fantastically well and is a great app (atleast as of today ;-) ) But I found this weird problem which I want to overcome here. My phone wakes up when I click volume button which I do not want it to happen. I want it to wake up only when I click home or power buttons.
Can somebody help me out here on this?

Regards,
Pradsss

Since I saw this thread and posted, it reminded me about an app I had paid for a year or so ago. I downloaded and installed it and so far so good. Has been working with power button and volume keys on Bionic. It has a start on boot option so I don't know if that helps as well or has anything to do with it, but another option for you (but it is a paid app).

Keyguard Disabler is only $2.99 and IMO well worth it (I cant stand lock screens).
