dont use rom manager...everyone in here will tell you its a piece of junk...lol...always causes issues with your phone ....gaurunteed most everyone in here will try to deter you away from using rom manager...

also, i would suggest that you dont download roms, kernels..etc..to your phone...people have reported getting bad/incomplete downloads and its just gonna give you problems...its best if you download the files with a computer and transfer them to your sd card

+1 to not using rom manager. it is always better to do everything in recovery. get to know your recovery. you never know when you get into trouble and all you have is your recovery. also you might want to consider switching your recovery to amon ra. it is a much better recovery. plus if you have clockwork mod 3 and higher then you will not be able to flash certain files. please read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. please read the recoveries and switching recoveries sections.
