Root Considering root.

Titanium backup in case you have to factory reset for some reason. Because it has no external SD storage, factory reset will wipe all user installed apps and data. Although, in looking at the settings, I see backup options, but have not heard what all are backed up (probably paid apps and google contacts) and can be restored.

Just curious, what are the perks? I've already rooted my phone so, I have things like free wifi hotspot, rooted apps and, of course, the Roms. I just haven't seen any roms or perks that have compelled me to root.

Can one of you guys push me a little towards persuasion?

I am very interested in what people have to say. I am wondering why all things start with rooting my Galaxy 10.1 table

This guy isn't getting much help. He is asking why should he root. I have the same question. What kind of clock speeds can we get? Do you really notice?. I don't really see any apps that I have to get rid of like on phones with tons of bloatware. Are we getting ics in three next month to make it pointless?

There are quite a few ROMs to flash, including CM support. Read the two sticky posts to see what's available (there are links to other sites). Review each of the available ROM to see what they provide then you can decide if you want to jump in. It's not for everybody, so you should decide for yourself based on your need or interest, and risk.
