so leave X for the bionic or the Charge?

no one hates the bionic, some users just do not like the screen that comes with it, alot of us cannot stand pixelated screens at all, but overall the phone is nice, it will have cm7 very soon.

There are more issues with the Bionic than just a pixelated screen, just check out the official Moto Forums. The Bionic having CM7 soon, I don't know about that; it boots CM7, but a lot of things require drivers to be written for them to work, and that is going to take a while to accomplish.

I have the Bionic and looked at both phones. When I put it down on paper the only plus I could make for the charge was the screen, all the rest were a draw or went to the Bionic. I will tell you I am not disappointed with my Bionic one bit. So far I have had 0 issues with it.

Yes the screen is not as crisp as the X's with the pentile screen. However the phone is bright. I have it set to minimum brightness and have not had to turn it up yet, granted I have not been in directed sunlight yet.

If you are going to upgrade the dual core process is great on speed and even data speeds are 2 to 3 times faster than with the X.

On paper yes, but I returned my bionic yesterday, real life it doesn't beat my year old Droid x rooted and romed.
and yes my bionic WAs rooted and I froze some bloat.
I'll wait to see what's around the corner, just getting tired of Moto for now butnot for any reason.

Team Liberty is working on the Bionic now so it should be much better soon. Liberty (froyo) on my old X was as fast or faster than the majority of t bolt romsand almost as fast as the fastest roms available for the t bolt.

Have you talked to a owner who has the black screen of death and or the noisy headphones?

I don't see why you would talk about defective units, my first bionic had the whine and I called Verizon and had a new one shipped the next day... no more whine.

The Bionic is an awesome phone there's just some strange groupie hipster wave of people that seem to be obsessed with putting down this phone. I came from a droid x and am thoroughly impressed. The screen is completely opinion based, tell me what other phone you can have heavy usage and still get only 15-20% battery used on the screen? Not to mention the daytime viewing is great on this phone, yes I notice the odd pixelation sometimes but its not like it makes text harder to read or anything to I got used to it pretty quick. :)

There's issues with every new phone at launch In the history of android I have never seen a single launch with 0 issues and I've followed a TON of launches, you're being silly if you expect that.

If I remember correctly the time between when cv had cm booting on the x to the the time he had it fairly stable was only about a month I don't see why you think the bionic will be such a monumental difference outside of the lte drivers.

Well many of the 'defective' phone buyers have gotten replacements only to have the same thing happen. Not interested in being in any group but touting this as the holy grail is as bad as the trash talking hipsters I would assume.

You're a little too late to reply to my post (2 weeks ago now). The Bionic no longer interests me, so conversations about it no longer interest me, sorry, just being truthful; didn't want to leave you hanging with no reply ;)

Either way it's something that moto has said is being fixed in the bionic's upcoming maintenance ota.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, nobody has stated this as being some fantasy holy grail end-all phone, but this wave of people keep referring to people saying that, it's rather confusing.

I believe alot of people made these high expectations of this phone up in there head and of course it fell short of those dream phone standards any phone would, and this created a wave of uproar. I just said this is an awesome phone, and in my opinion it's currently the best verizon has to offer. Of course it's not perfect nobody here or anywhere has said it's perfect and same thing with the X, the X was an awesome phone at its time also. It had its shortcomings just like every other phone and I remember just as many issues and complaints at its launch also.

Droid Life in particular made this phone out to be the second coming. Many of the comments of readers also said the same thing. Funny, a week after it came out DL is posting the 'problem' threads. Doesn't matter to me, just saying.

so a few dl articles and now everyone thinks this phone was made out to be the god phone? Would you please link me the article where kellex said this was the end-all phone? I remember him mentioning plenty of shortcomings in his review so I'm not sure what exactly your referring to, thanks.
