Metro PCS has 3G now!!!

Well is there a way to do this port thing with Cm7 PR something cause its a pain doing all these steps or going Baker to stock

if there is no port in device manager than no, you will have to follow the guide to installing prl updates manually, sucks i know, i had to go back to 2.2 to install mines than restored my cm7 with no issues, and have 3g.

Run this script with Script Manager. (Free from the Market) It will copy and add the things to your build prop but leave your original build prop intact and unmodified. When you open Script manager hit menu and go to advance and select run as root to give it superuser permissions. then rename this file and erase the .txt at the end. Run the script as root, Pick your option and then select 7 to reboot

On CRICKET & tested all settings,OPTION 1 seems to be doing the best so far, even though I'm being throttled right now 'til my next billing cycle(1GB/mo. @3G on CRICKET).
Hope to see even better results when my data isn't being throttled.

this whole thing confuses me, the settings under the secret code was cool to see, reminded me of the boost/sprint #*menu right option
i found cdma workshop but im afraid to download it off yahoo thinking it could be some virus...
if i just keep *228 my phone will it just pick it up itself or do i have to do you guys option to force the prl on the phone?
i also understand hiding the info from people so they dont just come to the site to take it and leave rather than having active users. but this whole process confuses the heck outta me

On Phone Dial this code
*#*#2846579#*#*
A menu will pop up
Then
Go to projectmenu -- Background Settings -- USB Port -- (select) Manufacture mode

Ive been trying, unsuccessfully, to get QPST to see my phone, Win7 has the correct ports listed in device manger, but QPST still refuses to see it. Even though Its worked in the past.

In my latest try I flashed back to stock, tried this hidden menu thing but still no go. In this menu I have projectmenu- background settings. But in Background settings I have 6 items and not one of them is " USB port".

In this menu there is:
1) Qualcomm background open setting
2) Log Setting
3) OTP NV filter switch
4) System sleep show switch
5) Modem function switch
6) Dump log

And that's it. Any ideas? What am I missing? Remember this is with stock Metro rom.

Thanks all!

3G is now in Clearwater and Largo! I finally have 3G at home! I've been driving all around the area, and am finding the 3G all over the place now!! :):)

Running CM7-Ascend-05142011 and PRL3023

LOL Yeah its been here in the area for about a week (I'm in St. Pete). I've checked a few of my friends' phones who are on stock and they all have 3g and the 3023 prl now. Now just waiting for better speeds...
