I just want to get some information from you guys. Stock home screen which you got right after unpacking or factory reset works smooth and nice, but as soon as you put on some widgets like Classic clock, double clock, active applications etc., home screen scrolling starts to struggle a bit, not like slowing down but moving from one screen to other becames not perfectly smooth. What causing this ? Maybe it's just firmware ? Now I have 2.3.4 and I can't remember this issue while having 2.3.3 or I just didn't pay attention to it.

My question - how many widgets you have on your home screen ? Try to scroll the screen left and right and watch how smooth is it ? Of course in stock launcher.

i remember it being a bit sluggish on very early firmware. its pretty smooth now. and i have at least 2 widgets per home screen..

How many homescreens do you use ? And what launcher are you running ? Actually for me the word smooth means perfect when it comes to scrolling the screen :D, try put double analog clock on some screens, probably you will also notice some sluggish motions while scrolling.

The only sluggishness I notice is with the alarm on 2.3.3. Have not tested with 2.3.4. That said, I have about 5 widgets on the home screen, 3 on the second screen, and one more on the 4th screen. Only enabled 4/7 screens.

I don't have problems with small widgets like agenda etc, but when I put on those clocks then I notice that sluggishness.

Yesterday I found out the small solution on this. I just put a live wallpaper and sluggishness is gone at least for my amount of widgets that was when I had a wallpaper with pretty big resolution.

Isn't it a bit weird ?

A bit odd. Widgets I have on the home screen ( the numbers dictate amount of space used):
fancy widget 1x4
elixir2 1x1 bat stat
elixir2 1x1 airplane stat
sound on/off 1x1
torch light 1x1
samsung active app 1x2

2nd page:
samsung dual clock 2x2
timer app 2x2

3rd page:
no led 1x1

4th page nothing.

Wallpaper taken from zedge. So a lot of widgets, not much difference

Guys, seems like all of you who have replied me saying that you don't have any problems in smoothness of scrolling your homescreen, probably you just didn't get my point. Look at this video, when she is scrolling the homescreen, we can see the sluggish movements of widgets, that's what I was talking about. Sometimes it scrolls clearly but sometimes sluggish. I think the phone of this class shouldn't have this issue at all.
