Can we import a contact backup made from samsung kies i.e. a .spb file?

Don't know about that:thinking:
But, you can import vcard formats .vfc or .vcard file in galaxy pop gts5570...:)

Why don't you try and see for yourself .( Follow Copy to sdcard>Go to contacts>Import>select the file you copied or similar steps)

So the first thing. How to flash successfully to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (XXKPK) (Lastest version of android. Europe region) :

1. Download the firmware from here : Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: S5570XXKPK_S5570XXKPK_S5570SERKPK.rar . Password is : samfirmware.com

2. Dowload the .OPS file and ODIN. OPS :Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: TASS_v1.0.ops . ODIN : Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! .

3. Once you have everything download unpack the firmware . In there you should find a file that ends .tar .

4. Open up ODIN . Then select "One package" option in the left side of the program's window. Now browse with the "One Package" button in the right corner of the ODIN's window to you .tar file .

5. Now power of your phone. Plug it in to your PC using USB Cable. And go into download mode by holding Wolume Down + Home key + Power key until you see a sign that says downloading.

6. Now ODIN should detect your phone A little box should turn yellow and say something like this : COM (28) . The number will be different but the COM word won't change.

7. Now press start. And wait until the big box above the yellow box turns blue and says "PASS" then you can unplug your phone :)

8. The language for me was russian by default so go to your menu select the blue gear icon and go to a section that has a keyboard key icon. And then select the first option in the menu and select your language.

That's it you have gingerbread on your phone.

NOTE ! If you have KIES installed on your computer then you don't need drivers. But if you don't have KIES installed download these drivers : Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: SAMSUNG_USB.rar . Unpack and install on your PC.

P. S - Backup your apps. Because when i flashed to gingerbread they were wiped.

P. S .S - This tutorial can be used to flash back to stock ROM froma custom ROM

Hope this was clear enough.

My question is how do I backup all my apps (installed on phone as well on sd card), the saved files of my apps and also the market links (if possible) so that I can get everything back after installing the custom rom. Please tell me step by step, I am really new to this stuff and this is the only reason I am hesitating about trying cm7. I don't want to lose all my apps, I do have all the apk files but all my saved data will be gone and also the market link will be gone. So is there a more convenient method to backup my data.

I also have a few more questions:
1. Can I use android market after i have flashed to cm7?
2. Which program do I use to transfer data between my phone and pc since kies is not going to work?
3. If I want to remove cm7, can I just flash the gingerbread 2.3.4 that I have now or do I have to go back to my stock Froyo and start fresh?

Please read this for more info... Handy Informations: How to Backup all Applications and Data in Your Android Smart Phone? on backing up your data and apps. For backing up market links try App Monster Pro... it can find an apps link to market. You can do that from all backup utilities, but not so sure on that.:)

Yes, without market android smartphone is just a nano ipod or even less. Just flash gapps and you will get all google products.
Mount you storage to your Or use apps like ANdroid Wifi Manager (via wifi) and Wondershare MObilego (via USB) to transfer data and apps.
No, you can flash CWM recovery in your current GB (no need to go back to froyo) and then flash CM7 from the recovery.:)
