Just out of curiosity, when I first got my apollo, it lasted 1 1/2 days on full charge.

I've since installed froyo, and got some apps to manage power, and turn off apps not in use. I keep gps, wifi, bluetooth and 3G off till I need them. I also found a good charging trick. charge until full, unplug phone for 10 mins and charge again. My battery has just lasted 6 days!!

can anyone beat that?

Hi Saab.
I'm currently on day 5 and the battery is showing 30% left. I'm running froyo from samsung kies software update xxjps.
Battery use shows
display 42%
cell standby 29%
phone idle 12%
android 4%
dialer 1%

my average use is 10 to 20 texts a day, 10 mins of calls, 10 mins of internet with 3G, and 10 with wifi at home.

I'm not at all a heavy user and it spends all day turned on, but as I said, wifi, gps, bluetooth and 3G are only turne on when needed. I also turn off all apps every hour or so, as they keep turning on.

Seriously try the charging trick, charge it to full power, unplug it for 10 to 20 mins and plug it in again until it shows charged. I don't believe 1 standard charge gives you full power.

hope this helps, marcel

Going to try this as charged my battery yesterday to full but within minutes of disconnecting from charger it was down to 90% charge.

i've just finished charging up my phone till it bleeped, then left it unplugged for 10 minutes, and pluged it in again, it charged for a further 26 mins before showing a full charge again.

I've been told it is something to do with the overcharge circuit, it always seems to cut off early. I've seen similar effects with AA battery chargers. Cheap units work on a timer, not on the power level, so never give full power.

I was reading about someone that managed to override the program to apple computers that made the batteries explode.

Wow that's so different to mine!

Right now after charging 31 hours ago it is down to 15%
Battery usage always indicates Android about 88-90%
I have not been able to update from 2.1 as I can't get my phone to be recognised by Keis.
