the same thing happened to me and this what i did. First have someone call you (you can still recieve calls!) but dont answer it, then you will get a "missed call" notification in your status bar. drop the status bar and click it. then it will bring you to your call log, but the tabs on the top of the screen labled "Phone, Call Log, Contacts, and favorites" will be there. click on the contacts tab. you wont have any contacts (due to the factory reset) but just press menu and then press "accounts" an log in to your gmail account.

then find a launcher app (any launcer will do) and download it to your computer. Then send an email to your gmail account with the launcher attached to it. An email notification will show in your notification bar. Open the notification bar and click it. It will bring you to the email with the attachment. Next to the attachment will be a button that says "install". press that and wait for it to fetch the attachment (you might want to be cnnected to wifi to speed things up if you can figure that out) then it will pop up with the launcher and just press install again. after it is installed press the home button and it should bring you to your new home :)

there is alot of steps to the process but it works and i know how hard LGNPST can be for a noob to use...this will get you up and running every time no problem, and i would say its an extremely noob friendly method. (you might want to look into flashing a custom recovery just in case of emergencies like these)

Guys, I really need your help. I did basically the same thing as above. I didn't delete my home app, but I froze it. And when I quit out of Gemini App Manager, there was nothing but a notification bar. I admit I kinda freaked out and decided to shut the phone off, and take the battery out. Upon "reboot", it just gives me the android splash screen, and never gets past this point. Please tell me I didn't screw up my >2 week old phone. :/

*I tried emailing something to myself but I think I blocked my email app too. Nothing comes through. I haven't tried calling it yet though.

** WAIT! I think I may have it, guys! :D I just hit the power button and it kinda came back up. Still no real "home screen" but it looks like I can now get in position to download one :)

***Success! Phew, thank you so much guys! I know none of you really got a chance to say anything, but just by resolving other people's problems substantially helps the rest of us having the same problem. And for this I thank you :)

*Disappears, never to be seen on this forum again*

I rooted my phone a couple weeks ago taking off a few factory apps like facebook nothing major phone had been working great. I had titanium and backed up everything a few days ago , a couple of days I downloaded NoBloat and deleted my home launcher because i use go launcher not thinking I would need it, but i did back this up and still have the lg launcher file on my sd-after deleting I kept getting a force close and had to reboot. After rebooting there was no home screen but i did have a notification bar i could call myself and can make texts but cannot get into any options. I tried adding a photo from gallery hopping my launcher would pop up or settings from sms but those are only settings I can get into and also camera. But tried wifi cannot get it to work so that maybe I could jumpstart launcher. My usb to pc was working now it doesnt register and ive tried downloading drivers still doesnt work. I have tried putting launcher on sd root but im new to this so prob doesnt do anything alot of the posts on google ive found just confuse me i had recovery-RA-pecan 2.2.1-dnm-drap and recovery image on root not sure where I aquired it on a forum somewhere , Im just totally lost -I have tried the power keys down volume I dont have what someone says a terminal, or power buttons volume up gets this black fastbootscreen- all my files are on sd i justt need the launcher to do anything and im hoping my info helps , I have tried everything on this page also How To Install Custom Recovery in LG Optimus ME P350 with no luck athe adb on command prompt says error reading device, im not able to get email becuz my wifi is no working

100%% working
0) download launcher app from ur pc and place it in the root of mem card of phone and rename it as launcher.apk
1) press green button after switching on the phone
2) the keypad appears. now click contacts tab
3) try to send a msg to any one of the contact
4) the messaging service will now open
5) send any url from another phone to this phone
6) now clik inbox and then the url
7) the browser will open now.
8) type this url: "file:///sdcard/launcher.apk"
9) the installer now opens.

After spending hours and hours looking for a simple, workable solution for this problem caused by a noobie, I found your post. This was too simple. It worked perfectly as advertised. I am now going to learn how to " set up flashing a custom recovery". Thanks again.

The other option, which might just be the simplest way is to do this: Make sure the phone is on. You have to have WiFi or a data connection for this to work.

Go to the Play Store on the PC and select a custom launcher. Choose to download it. After ten minutes (it sometimes takes a little while to download) it should have downloaded to your phone. Reboot your phone. When it boots back up the custom Launcher should be there.
