Gallery Limitations - Alternative?

When I went to Gallery -- I got all the JPG images from all the music CDs I ripped -- so I included the file .nomedia to prevent this.
However, when doing this I now cannot see my music in the music app. So this is not the solution.
Ideally, Gallery should include a setup or configuration option to select or deselect certain folders from displaying images in the Gallery -- but his is not there in Android OS.

so -- is there any solution? It is extremely annoying. I am surprised that this was not caught by Google and Android people!

Yeah...I know what you mean... I use Justpics. I can set the folder with all the pics. The only annoying thing about this gallery is that I have to manually refresh the folder to see new pictures in it.... it's probably a setting I haven't learnt to use yet...I've only had this for a short time but so far I like it...it's fast and displays pictures well.

Have a look at QuickPic ;)

I have JustPicture too.
But if you don't need this feature for pictures in the cloud you will prefer QuickPic.
