***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

This is where the disconnect is. The real Nexus will be announced on the 11th and subsequently released shortly after. The SCH-i515 may just release Q1 or in November. 2 different phones.

If you are not on Verizon you have nothing to worry about in regards to getting the Nexus. If you are a VZW customer I wouldn't hold your breath on Verizon getting it.

That's right, I try to say same thing.

This is really comical. I can imagine VZN, Sammy, and Google peeps who actually know what the deal is, reading this and laughing at us. I have never been in on a thread that can be higher than high on one post and then bottom out due to a different post or rumor. Crazy I tells ya... I think they have done an awesome job of not only keeping any leaks from happening, but putting out dis-information to combat rumors that might be true. Well played sirs....

Disagree. As some friend posted before, it will be an international version of Nexus, and it will go to all carriers. If it is going to Verizon exclusively, Google and Sammy won't announce it, Verizon only .

We will see next week. But the majority of rumors/leaks are pointing to Verizon getting the first Prime/ICS device with whatever name, and possibility 10/27 according to the latest leaks from AC, Droid-Life yesterday. Also the system app list leaked last week indicates verizon apps there.

You people are hilarious. Look at the Panda Poem. There is one inaccuracy, and it's not the "red and black" line.

We don't know what you will find to complain about after the 11th, we really don't. But I'm sure you'll come up with something.

I am hoping the inaccuracy is the release date.... Instead of Nov it is Oct....

We don't know what you will find to complain about after the 11th, we really don't.

The poem is as follows:

While things that go bump in the night, surely give you a fright, It’s all in good fun as I share treats and panda fun.
So Instead of filling your belly with candies, jellies and other hollows eve fare, Perhaps your palate will cast a ballot,
for an ice cream sandwich instead.

With an internal date now set and LTE a sure bet
Those that get Tim Cook’s new pet will be filled with green eyed regret.

But wait you cry for what date can you buy?
This the panda did shall share...
Fore on the date Bruce Wayne’s true father did die; you shall in fact be able to buy in stores of red and black.

But those who pay other masters don’t fret, over exclusive deals and bets
For in many other favors (flavors?) you will get your treat
be they GSM or wimax radios inside, the nexus brand will ride world wide
the exciting, and mind blowing conclusion to come....later...

But as he lays in the corner with a Beer and a boner the Panda said with a sigh...
Be it a Droid or Nexus branded new toy, with dual cores “hd” screens, fancy new widgets and more....
The one with the keyboard is what I enjoy”

So, a dual-core ICS device with LTE and an HD screen will hit Verizon on November 3. Is it the "Nexus brand that will ride world wide"? Who knows. But an LTE device with ICS is good enough for me.

Keyboard is probably not accurate as it pertains to Verizon. VZ probably doesn't have info on other carriers. So it's inaccurate to him.

Public Service Announcement:

Smiley faces really help lighten tone. In the future, I would ask you and everyone else to use them in order to alleviate any tendency we, your readers, may mistakenly have that would cause us to take this as a strident tone. In fact, I've deleted several posts that hit me wrong, for this very reason.

Thank you.

"An inside verizon source gave the following information

Device Launch Information

Please note Launch Dates Are subject to change:

Motorola Xoom 4G LTE Tablet – 10/6 Pantech Hotshot – 10/6 Samsung Stratosphere 4G- 10/13 Pantech 4G Global Modem- 10/20 Samsung Prime (Replacement for Charge) 10/27"

Seems to be another inside document hinting to the prime hitting shelves on Oct 27th.

Keeping up with this thread is really draining my Thunderbolts battery. I REALLY need the prime!!!!

I think we ticked off VZ.

VZ, I for one believe that Verizon will come out with the Prime on November 3. But some of us, like CK and others, are very skeptical, and I have to say that they have every right to be so.

Many of us haven't been extremely happy with Verizon for passing up on the Nexus devices in the past and then on SGSII. With the high prices we're paying in comparison to others, we expect top-notch phones.

If Verizon comes through in the way you say, my faith in Verizon will be 100% restored. And I'm sure it will.

Sure thing, Steve.

If you're on Verizon, you'll be very happy on October 11.

:):p:D:)

I really appreciate your response.

My experience with Verizon:

1) I am on the high side of great experiences. They've always bent over backwards to make me happy. I'm, in fact, a VZW, fanboi.
2) I love vz.

However, I was just saying that sometimes they don't always follow our time tables. That said, I do appreciate your words of encouragement. :)

You, VZ_Wired guy, do indeed rock. :)

well i'm not quiete sure if it will come to verizon exclusively on November 3rd yet, but to be honest i don't really care about that...

im from germany and therefore i'm more interested in the european release date...

so what do you think? will the Nexus Prime hit Europe on November 3rd, too?

LTE is already avaiable in big parts in Europe and our carriers still update to LTE more and more...

furthermore the Nexus Prime is rumoured to be CDMA and GSM, so it would be possible to be offered to Verizon Wireless and the rest of the world on November 3rd and to the other US-Carriers later on...

right now every rumour about the release date is only for the US... :(

I just want to say i am calling BS on the whole tablet docking thing based on the picture released last night. I am not saying it isn't going to happen. But if you look at the picture, the "tablet" area is exactly following the curve of the metal backing. Observe....

By the way epic thread! I have been following since day one....if you combined this with the facinate forum of old, then the stratosphere, then this, which has basically been speculation for a awesome samsung phone coming to VZ then the thread would be rediculous!

Although I believe Verizon will get the Samsung Prime sometime, I do not think it will be an exclusive and to think so is just crazy. Google has always relased it for t-mobile first and that probably won't change with this one. I do believe however that every network will get it sooner than the last nexus device.

VZW peeps are going to be disappointed October 11th lol

What makes you say Verizon won't be getting it? All the other rumors I've heard so far suggest Big Red would get it first.

Couple things and guys I know I've already said this before but this gentleman may not have saw it.

Numero uno those are unsubstantiated rumors.

Number 2, MY biggest issue is with the model number. This unannounced Verizon phone is model i515 and if you recall the Charge is the i510. In my opinion that says a lot. To me it says we are looking at the Charge 2 (or whatever name it drops under)

I would feel much better with a i6xx or i7xx or even an i550 designation. Like I said though I could be totally off base but something doesn't sit right with this whole thing.

The scenario that makes perfect sense to me is the Nexus aka i9250 goes to the other carriers and we will get something similiar to the Charge but dual core and with more RAM. I hope I'm wrong.......

vz_wired...PM me, I'll book you a flight to Tampa, take you to Bern's Steakhouse and perhaps a trip to the infamous Mons Venus if that interests you. All you need to do is bring along a VZW Prime for me check out for a day or two! :)

Thanks for slapping us when we need it.
