Tried Cm7 and was totally dissapointed. the phone was slower! and my apps were buggy. gingerbread stock with adw launcher ex is faster!

I guess its because you didn't do a clean install. (wipe data and cache and try installing apps again) It sure is fast for me....

You can download such apps via your computer copy them to sdcard and then install them manually. I'm sure it will work. Please report the result back. Try installing this one its angry bird 1.6.2 Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

good news.. android version 2.3.7 is available!!! weeeeeeeeeeee.. but i still doubt to use it.. since using only 2.3.5 because of the wifi problem.. the wifi coverage is too low..

Try it... If it doesn't work then there is nothing to do... also, you can search for it in market.

What do you mean by CyanogenMod configure android market.. ? facebook and etc? huh??
If you want to know if the rom support market , facebook, etc then yes, just flash the gapps zip from the 1st post and you will get to configure an google account on your device and use all google apps....

So now it has been a week since I flashed to 2.3.7, overall its pretty much good...

But I have following glitches....

1.phone restarts 3 to 4 times a day by itself...
2.any solution for wrong orientation of camera?
3.device doesn't light up when a msg is received...
4.this is a major one.."i am not able to download any songs from any of the sites from stock and dolphin mini browsers.....! When I click on a link to download any song or video I don't get the option to download it,just get the option to play it...", please help me on this..i was able to download songs and videos from stock browser when I was on gb...
5.no notification for battery being fully charged...

Please help me on above problems...asap...

sorry for the trouble..i flashed my s5570 with cyanogenmod 7.1 and i successfully rebooted the phone...but when i tried to overclock it to 864mhz, my phone did not come up. can anyone give me some brief steps on recommended over clock for cyanogen 7.1 on s5570....

and also i need the link to download the overclock modules..

video on youtube on cyanogem 7.1 for s5570 and overclock at 864mhz is a fake one as my phone did not boot up after applying the over clock

advise please..

for this one, try using apps like makeitmp3 or music download.

i dont think there are overclocking kernels available for cm7.1
most youtube videos are fake...
for getting your phone back, i guess you'll need to flash cm7.1 again.
you can wait for the overclocking kernels to be available at the official site...

thank you for the post. i though of it and got confirmation that the videos are fake.one more thing. what are the othr modules installed with the cyanogen 7.1 to get all the bugs fixed. coz i heard that there are various bugs with the cyanogen 7.1 and also after installing the cyanogen 7,1 no market apps are available..thank you for all your help....

please read the first post for links and other resources on CM7.
Latest CM7 has most bugs fixed. Just copy the two modules cifs.ko and tun.ko to /system/lib/modules folder using root explorer. OC are due to release for the latest one but you can find them for previous versions at the first post of this thread.

Yes, superuser is needed to use root explorer, But, you will get pre-root access in CM7, no need to root manually.
So, use root explorer and then simply copy these files to the /system/lib/modules folder.
Still having doubt,
1. Copy cifs.ko and tun.ko to sd-card. (not the zip file, you have to extract the cifs.ko.zip and tun.ko.zip and you will get cifs.ko and tun.ko files)
2. Using root explorer (its a file manager app) find Cifs.ko and long press it, click Copy.
3. Navigate to /system/lib/module folder and click paste button.
4. DO the same for tun.ko

If you want to save the trouble and a lot of times just putting those files in that folder the system doesn't start them so i recommend to use my flashable .zip for those modules. Tested on my device worked perfectly but still flashing disclaimer applies...

i came across update-cwm864.zip and update-cwm800.zip for overclocking the cyanogenmod7.1. i also recived an advice fom you all that we do not have overclocking for cyanogenmod for s5570...your valuabl feed back on his please..and also in cyanogenmod we have an inbuilt cyanogenmod settings. we have an option to make CPU to select the frequency upto 800mhz. will selecting the option makes cyanogenmod faster....please advice
