The key is that the browser improvement for ICS is that it's hardware-accelerated, yes?

My uninformed guess is no, unless they were testing fast moving graphics browsing (to take advantage of GPU accel) which only makes sense for web gaming.

They could've split the browser into multiple threads to fetch objects (html, scripts, images) in parallel while parsing and executing the javascript.

Looks like the majority of potentially useful chat has eased. I've found out a lot of the best info in IRC (and some of the worst). I tend to believe these specs. The only thing possibly still in play is the real phone "locked in a vault" theory but I'm thinking its less and less likely all the time. I'd be "happy" with these specs if they prove true.

Maybe I'm a little green but I've never seen a thread convince so many new forum members to sign up. I guess the excitement and the anticipation is just too hard to resist.

The Incredible forum probably had the same rate of new signups, myself included. Remember, back then (February, 2010) the only decent Android on on the market was the OG Droid.

I had a friend ask me which phone he should get when he upgrades in December and linked him to this thread. I told him if Sprint gets this phone, don't think twice about getting it.

I also suggested he not try to read every post unless he wants to spend the next few days trying to get caught up. He was impressed by the number of posts.

Also, I'm surprised we didn't get any kind of leak today. I hope we get some FCC love in the next couple days.
