Got my Hero rooted with Fresh 1.1. Not sure what else I should do from here. I kept reading about his gumbo thing but idk how to install it lol.

Where are these themes and lockscreens at? I am not quite sure what to do from here and this is what I expected lol. Idk what to do now that its rooted. :p

Any suggestions?

BTW I got set CPU. Not sure what i was supposed to do but I set it to Max 528MHz and Min 480MHz. And set the Governor to ondemand.

I vote you try searching. We keep telling you this, yet you keep asking. It is like you want to be spoon fed the information, when so many others have worked to get it.

Search, search search. Read, read read.

If you can't search and find the answers to your questions that you have asked here, I feel you don't deserve to find them.

Again, not trying to be a d***, but really man, you just joined, and you have asked tons of questions that have already been asked/answered. You are obviously not doing proper research.

lock screens... look in the pre kitchen.. you'll find some there.. more are coming.. setcpu.. try setting it for 528/245 ondemand that way the cpu can slow down when not needed..

Gumbo.. try searching for Gumbo.. you'll find a bunch of info on it.. including how to flash it..

I would do all the work for you and give you all the links.. but as your name says.. you're neversatisfied and probably never will be unless you find the info on your own and figure all this out...

+1000 for EVERYONE.

I just searched for "Gumbo" in the Sprint Hero forum, and found 29 different threads. If I search for "root", I'll found 325. If your answers aren't in those threads (many of which are VERY similar), then you didn't read them well enough. I don't mean to be rude, or an ass, but that's why there's a search function on forums like these.

Do you guys really expect someone to look at hundreds of threads just for an answer that might be in maybe 1 of them?

All of those threads like to complicate things. All i want is a link to a website where I can find themes. I already know where to get gumbo. I saw the tutorial. I know how to flash the files, thats simplistic shit.

I mean shit, if you expect everybody to figure it out on their own, i wouldn't of even joined this website. I came for help, not to be criticized, but apparently I wont get that from most of you.

And you are getting help, its just not "spoon fed" help as someone else mentioned.

I joined the website, and im getting the help im looking for.

Well then, perhaps you should try searching for "Themes", where you would have found a dozen different threads that I've put a link for themes in, plus quite a few other links that I haven't even looked at yet.

You say all the threads complicate things, and yet you add another thread to the mix. Makes perfect sense.

I rooted my phone. Put Fresh 1.1 Rom on it. Added Gumbo Kernel. Added SetCPU.

Wanna know how I did it properly?

BY READING THE FRICKIN THREADS THAT ALREADY GIVE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO IT.

Just FYI, the answer on Gumbo is literally on the front page of the Sprint HTC Hero page. The title of the thread is very obvious. Honestly, I rooted, installed Fresh 1.1, Gumbo and SetCPU and was able to find all the instructions on how to install them without even using the search feature because all the info you need is on the first page Stickyed and the rest of it is normally on page one or two and very clear in the title. The fact that you created another topic when there are clearly several others on this EXACT same subject shows me your either trying to attention just to you or the only thing you read on this page was (New Post) button.

Ok then. Ill do it all on my own. Just dont expect me to say I got any help from you guys. Ill give the credit to Flipz only.
give credit where it's due.. and make sure that you don't look at any of the information on these forums because well.. that's helping you.. you have been poiinted to the guide for rooting that's here several times.. I even told you what to search for for the Gumbo kernel.. I even gave you a link to XDA where you can find a lot of themes.. just as everyone else has done over and over and over (not just for you but there are a lot of threads all asking the same thing and they all have answers).. so credit whoever you like.. but be realise that everyone here has helped you in many ways.

Oh yeah.. how did I learn all that I know about rooting?? (which isn't everything but enough to get the job done manually) simple... I read the threads here..it's not really that hard to do.. and the guide that was made a sticky is a great resource..

now do i want you to give me reps...or credit for helping.. nope..if I helped anyone at all in any of my posts then that's all that matters..
